Q: Can this popcorn be made in a pot on the stove top at home?

Absolutely. I have the machine but have used the packs on the stove as well. You cannot beat Preferred!!

Q: The description says "made for a 6oz kettle"...i have no idea what that means. i have a 6 quart whirley pop stove-top popper. will this work in that?

Q: How much popcorn is in the 6oz bag? Like how many cups or ounces of corn. Is it 6 ounce of popcorn? and it doesn't pop it all without somescorching.

We didn't experience scourching but there is an overflow factor. So we just kept a few kernels in the bag and the some in the next bag and eventually, there's enough to make a full popper. I use a variety of poppers including the old whirley bird hand crank one. The popcorn tastes better than movie made and you can put real butter on it rather than oil.
