POOR Packaging and Too Small
I ordered this as a gift for a friends birthday. I paid $53.00 for a hat I can buy all day in Cozumel for $20. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to go back to Mexico prior to the birthday, due to illness after surgery. So the price wasn’t an issue until I received the hat.Whomever packed it decided to put it in a box that wasn’t big enough . The entire brim was bent and creased. To the extent that it cannot be repaired. I have no other option other than to give the gift. I’m am absolutely unsatisfied with this item.The quality seems ok but the hat size is so small ( ordered man sized) that it could sit comfortably only on a 12 year old or younger child, in my opinion.The photos show the hat bent and creased all the way around. Note each sections color- the red, green and silver areas all have creases or bends.I do not recommend this product. If I had time I would ABSOLUTELY return this item .

Worth the wait - And was shocked by how nice this is
I ended up waiting several weeks longer to receive the sombrero, either due to a postal delay or an Amazon error - it wasn't made clear. I was prompted twice whether I wanted to go ahead and keep my order pending or cancel it. But I waited it out, and man, was it worth it. This ain't just a hat - is a beautiful work of art. I once had a cheap straw sombrero back when I was a kid, and it fell apart - but this one is a completely different level of high quality embroidery. I got the black with gold/white trim. Kudos to whoever made it. Now I'll have to get a mariachi jacket/pants to go along with it!

Ruined hat
So the only reason I gave 2 stars was for the quality of the hat. Very well made. Why I didnt like the hat was because the way it was packaged. I needed this for a quince and when we went to open the package the hat was just shoved inside the box...the hat took the shape of the box and ruined the whole hat. So I will be returning it. Very disappointed.

The hat itself appears to be of a good quality. Although
Hat arrived quickly. However, Hat arrived damaged. Was poorly packaged for shipping. Arrived in a box that was not the appropriate size with nothing else in the box, but the hat. Therefore it was damaged in delivery. Hat is bent and wrinkled. The hat itself appears to be of a good quality. Although, the opening for the hat is smaller than what I expected. It does not fit my fiance properly. Also the color did not appear to be a true white. Rather an off white or an aged white.

VERY SMALL; BUT BEAUTIFUL.
WAY TOO SMALL. 5 stars for quality; 1 star for fit. My husband, whom I bought it for wears a size 7; didn't come close to fitting. It fit me, I can't say what size I am; probably a typical female head. It is beautifully made, just like it looks in the pictures.

Should be better
The embellishments on the edge we're a bit funky upon arrival so we will have to fix it. It's definitely small but workable for what we are doing. It should be better for the cost.
