EDIT: Works great
EDIT: It turned out that the USB port on my stereo is underpowered for what the charger needed in order to work. I'm pretty sure that's what caused the 30-second time out when charging (even though that port has always been fine for charging my phone directly). Mycigarette lighter hadn't worked for a while, so I replaced the fuse to get it working again and used the charger attachment that came with the cradle. Works like a charm with that. So moral of the story: if you see the 30-second time-out, try using a different power source.Still leaving this at only four stars because a) I just got it working so I don't have a track record yet, and b) there was absolutely no hint in the literature that an underpowered port could be the issue.Original review below as a cautionary tale.==========================I want to like it. Plug in the power and the lights cycle twice like it’s supposed to do, and then I add my iPhone 11 Pro to the cradle. The light changes to a pulsing green which according to the directions means it’s charging. The phone shows that it’s charging but only for about 30 seconds. Then the cradle shuts down completely. No lights on the cradle and the phone shows it’s not charging any longer. If I turn the car off and on again, the cradle lights back up again but the same steps described above happen again if I put the phone back in the cradle.Kinda useless if it won’t charge the phone and the iPhone 11 Pro is listed as supported. Any ideas?

Awful Product
This is the first review I have ever written and I have ordered hundreds, if not thousands of items off Amazon. I ordered this item last Oct and it's been nothing but headache. Was rarely using it because so bad. It is suppose to open so you can put the phone in and then grab the phone and hold it until you remove it. But what would actually occur is that when I wanted the phone it didn't want to let it go. That's not the bad part when it is suppose to be holding the phone it would randomly open out of no where and drop the phone on the floor, basically at the foot peddles. I started to make sure I had the charging cord attached so WHEN it fell I could pull it back up by the cord. Do not recommend at all.

Not what you expect
I got this charger for my 2019 Jeep Compass and found that at first it worked great. Wasn't to impress with the vent holder clip but it held on better than other vent clip holder I had. In warm weather it performed ok at first but as soon as the weather her in the Northeast turned cold everything went downhill. The mechanism opened very slow and it started to open on its own while I was driving down the road causing the phone to fall out of the holder, I went through quite a few screen protectors due to the falls. Charging became hit or miss when running apps to track mileage and even when no apps were running at all. When I upgraded to the iPhone 12, and tried several case. it would not charge at all with a case on forcing me to remove the phone from the case in order to use the charger. I opted to keep the case on as the phone is a much bigger investment to replace. I won't get another one of these again and am opting to go a different route.

Bought because of YouTube seems great
I was looking for a charger for my Ram 3500 (2015). It had to be wireless. I have a Samsung S8 active. You can get these old phones for about a hundred bucks and they work fantastic. I also have an iPhone 7 but I'm not sure if it charges wirelessly. This seem to be the best charger given a great review. So far I do like it except it has to go on the right side AC duct. These big 3500 trucks have a column mounted shifter unlike the small ones with the dial. So if you try to hang this charger on the left hand vent it's in the way when you put the vehicle into drive. It's not such a nuisance to be on that right side and other than perhaps a mere amount where you'd have a wire hanging down there's not a lot of other space in my vehicle other than along the roof line on the windshield. Is everyone says make sure to remove the phone before you shut the key off or you'll have to switch it back to accessory to open it I'm sure you can just yank it out but then you run the risk of damaging The fragile plastic gears inside. No don't get me wrong I don't fault the gears for being plastic they seem to work well and if I get a year out of this thing for what I paid that's fine.

Mine was defective.
So I was super excited to get this. I drive a blue Tundra and wanted one that would match. Installing was easy, I really liked the blue of the product as well as charger light. It even gives off blue light while charging.Problems came immediately as it kept "pausing" the charging. It also fell off the mount when hitting hard bumps. I tried different cords, chargers, phones, but to no eval.So I researched for a better one on Amazon and bought it just to see if there was an issue with any of the items. (Unfortunately it wasn't blue.)So after a week with the new one, it hasn't "paused" the charge at all, and the clip was much stronger. I LOVE the new one! I tried using the cord and charger from the new one with this and it still won't stay charging so I know it's the unit itself. I love everything about it except, well...it doesn't charge my phone. Two stars for design and eye appeal.

Please read before buying.
The charger looks cool. Not going to lie, the self open and close feature is dope. That being said I think my product is defective or just doesn't like my phone. It constantly stops charging my phone after a few minutes. It's rather annoying since I bought this product with the hopes that I could charge my phone wirelessly yet it barely does that. I wanted to love this product but sadly I cannot since it doesn't always charge my phone. I've used both my Samsung s8 and s20 and both stop charging.

Doesn’t charge fast at all!
This did not charge my phone fast at all. False advertising!Update: I just got an email from the company asking me to delete my bad review for compensation. So all reviews may not be honest reviews just to let you know! At 30% bad reviews I would take a hint that the good ones are probably paid!
