I bought these to stain homemade greek yogurt. They absolutly work for that purpose (I use a double layer). Less waste and mess than using cheese cloth/tea towel and I put them in my compost pile when I'm done. I have not tried using them as coffee filters.

I use two of these to seal up 6 ounces of coarse ground coffee (tied off with unwaxed dental floss) which I drop into 2 L of water and let sit for 14 hours for the best danged cold brew. I no longer care for brewed coffee and yes, yes I am a coffee snob–You will be too!

I really like the large size. They work wonderful for straining homemade yogurt to make it Greek.

I am giving this item a 4 star because it is a good quality coffee filter, however, it is HUGE! I read other reviews says that these are large and I thought "Perfect! I have a commercial coffee pot and we need large filters". No, they are about 3-4 inches taller than the basket. They look like they would be good if you are making about 5 gallons of coffee but way to big for what we need.

Bought for use in our Fetco XTS touchscreen brewer. Cheaper and available much quicker than the fetco product. Works great!

Loved these! They were huge! I ordered them to make flowers for my wedding day arch... I dip dyed them in food coloring, water and white vinegar. They turned out exactly as I imagined!
