THESE ARE AWESOME!! And people seem to leave these alone!
THESE ARE AWESOME!!! This one place where I hike-in to hunt, when returning back to your truck in the black of night, the trail crosses a creek. At different times of the year you might not be able to cross at the normal place the trail runs through. When I marked-off a certain key tree that the alternate path is beside with surveyors tape... unfortunately... some other person came along and decided they didn't like that tape being tied to the damn tree and removed it.. probably WITHOUT thinking some poor bastard is going to be coming back in, in the middle of the night, possibly with 100+ Lbs on his back, knees aching and freaking exhausted, relying on that tape marker to guide him back home! (A-holios!) WELL... I'm here to tell you that with using these tacks instead... not only is it sooo much nicer and easier to spot them from quite a distance away in your headlamp, even on its lower powered beam. BUT... since they are so small and innocuous on the tree, apparently these same people are OK with leaving them up there and not taking them down, as the markers I've placed in there have now remained for a number of months. And I VERY much appreciate them being there since the one night which inspired me to put them there in the first place found me back-tracking up and down around this area trying to find that damn alternate route path in the middle of the freaking night when it's much more difficult to discern one Oak tree from another, especially when the last time you saw it was 2 Days and 10 miles ago. (People, seriously, make sure there are no vehicles around at the trailhead before you up and decide to remove trail tape, for goodness sake! 'Da Hell were you thinkin'???

A little better quality control and these would probably sell for twice what they cost now
As other reviewers have mentioned probably half of the stickers are already peeling before I even opened the package. I can press them back on and they seem to stick pretty well. Wondering if they're placed on by a machine at the factory that just doesn't do a good job at firmly pressing them on there. I just ordered a $1.80 bottle of clear nail polish (being a guy I wasn't about to go in the store and purchase this!) so that after I press all the stickers back on I can go around the edges and paint the sticker on the tack and keep water from getting under the sticker causing it to fall off. I will be using these to permanently mark a trail on my property so I want them to last. They are incredibly reflective I will give them that. I think for the price and an hour of my time (I have 100 to do) fixing them they will be worth the low price paid.

NOT REFLECTIVE & ALMOST WORTHLESS
Bought the 'white' colored marker tacks. Less reflection than a tiny white piece of plain paper. Almost as if someone printed the 'reflective stickers' on an inkjet printer with regular ink. I am forced now to buy actual reflective tape, cut to size, and stick on these tacks. That is their only redeeming value.

These are great, they'll stick into anything - not just tree ...
I always travel with a GPS, so to be honest, I've never had to use these. But the day you need them... These are great, they'll stick into anything - not just tree bark, they're also sharp enough to stick into even thin twigs on shrubs, and they VERY clearly reflect the light from flashlights and headlamps. If you're out tracking game they make a perfect breadcrumb trail. They're super lightweight and pretty cheap, so it's a nice emergency item to just keep in your pack for that day...

Good for marking trails
These are good for marking trails in low light and using a light. They are difficult to find during daylight which is a good thing and bad thing if you are not quite sure where you are going. I wish the pack came in 50% reflective orange or red versus all white, but they do allow further distance between tacks because they are easy to see with a light during low light or darkness.

I prefer these to the standard push tacks
I really like these. They are much easier to see from all angles. I wish they made them in multiple colors, for marking different trails in the same area. Until they do, I just bought some other color tapes and stick it on them to identify other trails or features.

Preferred.
I used these for a few different trails up some mountainous hills, the multi-directional reflection was a bonus based on the change in elevation from where I was to where the next pin was. Nice and bright as well, pick up light a good 50yds out.

Great for marking trails
Decent price & value for your money. Great for marking trails especially when coming back during dusk or nighttime. Placed during the fall - hoping the durability is enough to last during the winter. So far - I’m satisfied! Small & easy to carry while hiking.
