It's an absolute riot from start to finish! Steve Martin is in top form as the uptight tax attorney Peter Sanderson, who gets hilariously torn from his privileged white-collar world after being inadvertently set up with an online friendship with Charlene (Queen Latifah). She's an escaped convict who shows up at his doorstep and brings some much-needed chaos and life lessons to his perfectly ordered existence. The comedic culture clash between Martin and Latifah's characters provides endless laughs. Martin does brilliant physical comedy, fully committed to the outrageous scenarios Charlene drags him into. And Latifah is simply a force of nature, stealing every scene with her over-the-top persona and inability to be intimidated by the upper-crust snobs around her. The supporting cast is also fantastic, including Betty White in an iconic raunchy grandmother role that will have you rolling on the floor laughing. Every actor feeds perfectly off the central odd-couple pairing between Martin and Latifah.
