Like most say, this is a LOT smaller than you think. It's "maybe" 4" from end to end, outer edge of handle to very outer tip where wick sets. Tiny thing that fits in the palm of your hand. But for the money? Works brilliantly. Filled it with some old olive oil, laid a wick inside it (I get the wicks in bulk from India for other kinds of oil lamps, basically thick, cotton string), light and you have a mini oil candle that looks super cool.

This is no longer than my middle finger but it is quite cute and pretty. Not functional for me. It can fit in your pocket but it looks great on my book shelf. I think if I cluster a few of these, it would make a nice presentation. Great heavy quality. Looks like brass. I would like to purchase more.Very well made.

I just read the review of another buyer and like her, I am now wishing I had read all of the reviews before I ordered it. Like that user, I too needed it to use as part of a table decoration for an Aladdin themed party I am having and they are WAY too small. These are favor size, mine is barely 4" x 2" and this is from tip to handle, actual body of lamp is more like 3" I would like to suggest to the seller to be more specific on both body of lamp vs. overall size so that buyer can make a better educated purchase. With this said, it IS very pretty, sturdy and well made and I can see it being perfect for it's intended use especially if you're looking for something very small and compact.

very disappointed! I guess it was my fault for not reading the (size) description .. nor did I read the reviews beforehand. It is adorable and made of good quality material however, it is not as I expected. It is MUCH SMALLER than a child's toy tea cup set ..I wanted this to be an item on display in my newly renovated RV. I am so glad I bought it on sale for $7.96 and did not pay the full price of $15.95. I did see another Genie lamp similar to this one but with some color ( and is 8 inches in length) for $18.99 that I plan to buy. Perhaps this teeny tiny one might look cute beside it .. .OR ... it just may look pathetic. Any how, if you are looking for something realistic in size, this is not your Aladdin Genie lamp.. more than likely you too will be just as disappointed.

When I first ordered this product and saw the low cost, I was nervous. But it turned out to be legit. The product is only 4 inches, which is a bit smaller than I imagined, but it is cute. Made of metal, not plastic. The chain was detached from the lamp, but it took no time to fix it.The package was just a simple plastic bag. I wish it had arrived with a box, but can't complain given the low price.

Several reviewers say this isn't an incense burner, but mine is. A cone will fit, large end down and the smoke tendrils come out the top of the burner, or with the enclosed extra plate over the opening, just set the cone on the plate and light it. Either way, it does safely burn incense. It also looks very nice on the antique desktop set aside for unique little geegaws. So it's pretty, it's different, and you really can burn cone incense in it. I don't use stick incense so I can't address that but cones work just fine.

This product actually had the words "incense burner" in the title, however, you cannot actually burn incense in it, or at least not easily. The incense cones do not fit inside - there is no way to get them into it because they don't fit through the hole. If incense comes in just a powder then I guess you could pour it in. I don't know that much about it because I'm not into incense myself; I bought this as a gift for my daughter. So while it is a very cute little "genie lamp," it isn't actually an incense burner. Now she just has another decoration and still doesn't have a burner for all the incense cones I bought her as well to go with it. They actually show the cones as "frequently purchased with this item," so there must be a lot of other disappointed people as well.

Love this little lamp. I did not purchase it as an incense burner as it is designed for but as a toy genie in a bottle lamp. It is perfect and way better than most of the plastic toy lamps that pop up when you are looking for them. I think it would work perfect for its intended purpose as well and would fit the small conicle incense nicely. The lamp is 5 inches as the descriptions says however that is from the furthest extent of the handle to the tip of the spout. I feel most people expect the body of the lamp to be five inches and it is not. It sits approximately three inches high and is very solid.I paid full price for this item and this review reflects my own unbiased opinion.
