Review: Good cables matter!! - I've bought nearly 10 Audioquest connecting cables over the past few years, and ALL have improved the sound and worked without problems. In my experience, the more I spent, the greater the improvement. I was skepticle about digital cords making a difference, but was once again proved wrong. I also purchased an AQ USB cord, middle of their line, and am amazed at the difference and upgrade in sound. Keep doing careful A/B listening on each item in your system, and EVENTUALLY you'll end up with a sound you never could have imagined. Audio nirvana does exist, and it's affordable through used gear.

I've tried cheaper cables but ran into plenty of problems, especially with HDMI cables. If you want to get the most out of your equipment, make the investment. I'm very happy with AudioQuest products. I would recommend them for multiple applications. But I do believe in diminishing returns, so I tend to pick products that are in the middle between entry and crazy expensive. I haven't been disappointed yet.

I've bought nearly 10 Audioquest connecting cables over the past few years, and ALL have improved the sound and worked without problems. In my experience, the more I spent, the greater the improvement. I was skepticle about digital cords making a difference, but was once again proved wrong. I also purchased an AQ USB cord, middle of their line, and am amazed at the difference and upgrade in sound. Keep doing careful A/B listening on each item in your system, and EVENTUALLY you'll end up with a sound you never could have imagined. More detail and warmth, a clarity to the vocals. Differences from old cables are difficult to discern without a side-by-side comparison - even then it is subjective. But - it sounds great and I used Amazon points so don't feel guilty about the cost !
