The Giffin Grip Model 10 is our classic trimming chuck for re-centering leather hard pots on the wheel. The various Sliders and Rods move in simultaneously to hold your pot on center and can accommodate a wide range of forms up to 14" (35.5 cm) in diameter. On top of saving time (that most precious of resources), the Giffin Grip holds your work gently and securely – eliminating the risk of pots flying across the studio. After a simple one-time adjustment, it quickly snaps on and off your wheel. Other uses for the Giffin Grip Model 10 include: - Waxing the foot - Sanding and banding - Glazing and decorating Compatible potter's wheels: The Giffin Grip Model 10 fits most potter’s wheels on the market including: Shimpo, Brent, Speedball, Skutt, and many more. Any potter’s wheel with a removable splash pan or sufficient side clearance to mount our 16” (42 cm) Plates, will accommodate our Bottom Brackets attachment system. It can fit onto wheel heads ranging from 8.5” (21.5 cm) to 16” (43 cm) in diameter.

Assembly was straight forward but you'll need to take care getting the wheel clamps centered properly. The gradated indicators for doing so are well marked and have a positive engagement. In my case, I needed to add an extra shim (included) for a little more stabilization. All in all a beautifully designed, well manufactured and certainly easy-to-use product. Nice work, Griffin.

**Q: will this fit the Speedball Artista Pottery Wheel? dose anyone have one and can try it on? would be a great help**
A: The mounting brackets are adjustable. I can’t imagine that it would not fit any size wheel that I’ve ever seen or worked on.

A: HEAVY

**Q: Can this be attached on Shimpo wheel with the splash pan underneath?  One of the reviewers mentioned scraps flying off the bat and onto the floor.**
A: Yes it can, But, it is almost as high as the splash pan, so the dry trimmings may fall on the floor. They are easy to sweep up if you don't walk on them!

**Q: Can i use this product with shimpo nidec rk-5t table top pottery wheel?**
A: It adjusts to any size wheel

Assembly was straight forward but you'll need to take care getting the wheel clamps centered properly. The gradated indicators for doing so are well marked and have a positive engagement.
