Tarot: Connect With Yourself, Develop Your Intuition, Live Mindfully

Somewhat disappointed, still beautiful book.
I expected this book to be more like the website that heavily promotes it, or at least lay out the card stories in order. It's more of an art book. The reason I got it is because I made the assumption that it would basically be the website in a book. I'm still having to refer to the website to get more in depth ideas on readings, so idk if I'd keep this to be honest.I wouldn't get this "NEW" from Amazon because it came not sealed and with scuffs on the cover. It's beautiful, big print, and super well made, with a lot of spread suggestions and most info that is available easily online. It's just pretty basic for me, because ultimately you can make whatever spreads you'd like based on intention, or find the basics anywhere. I didn't expect additional graphics for interpreting SAMPLE spreads, I expected more like "multiple cards having water, and in the same reading can point to XYZ". Its an interesting way to go about teaching it, but imo ends up feeling disorganized. Devoting a whole page to their simplistic but gorgeous card art is a waste of space that could have more insight. You end up with 1/4 of a page description of card meaning for every two pages. The rest is blank space or suggestions for actions to take or thoughts, which I guess is where the mindfulness comes in hard. However, the blank spaces throughout the whole book end up feeling like a waste to me.I like how it details some things like numerology/anatomy of the minor/major/suits, but symbols like the birds, castle, etc are still not included. Probably because they aren't even on the graphics referenced of the deck used here 'based on' RW kinda. It's a good starting out book to get you thinking mindfully, but the card interpretations don't even describe what's happening in the art at all, as it does on the website.Especially for beginning with Rider Waite, I'd be hesitant to suggest this. As a gift for a teen who loves tarot, self help, mindfulness, or is vaguely interested in the dynamics, it would be lovely. For seriously learning, it falls short for me. I'd rather have seen more card details.

Actually prefer the content provided on official site
Nice to have yet not too different nor richer content from the explanation they provide on their website. Also, they chose wide margin with very small font for aesthetics... wish they’d use font size which is easier on the éyes.

Easy to understand, modern perspective, great resource, well worth the cost
I love this book. I take from 4 (now 5) different sources for my readings. This is a great resource to sum it all up and connect on different levels. It is easy to understand (upright and reversed), making modern connections. There are also some example spreads with interpretation.

Beautiful book! Well made, this is the quality we look for
I grabbed this book for my niece, and I actually liked it a lot!! I have been reading tarot over 35 years! It’s been a long time since I purchased something that is more for the beginner. But there was something about this book I just connected with. Soooo I ordered the deck as well, the same which the book follows.I’m a big tarot collector, but this book really jumped out at me, I knew I needed to get both deck and book. So I purchased book twice! (Once for me, deck and book for her!)The book is extremely well made, nice hardcover, and its full of a plethora of information, that I was shocked to see… because I’ve purchased many beginner books that have been huge disappointments, but this one is great for the beginner or even someone who may want a good refresher book if they’ve taken some off working with their cards.Regardless, I can’t say enough good things about it.It gives meanings, reflections, actions which can help us get thru whatever message said card is telling you! And of course keywords. It also touches down on numerology and how it works with tarot (I know books for beginners like that exist and I can’t compare them as I don’t own many but this one was great enough to have impressed me, and explained it in a way easy to understand). It dives a tad bit deeper into the court cards which I like a lot- Bc I seem to have problems with court cards!!! Sometimes I just wanna slap those kings and queens! Lol. But I do get a little confused even after all these years. However depending on how I am feeling physically during a reading- that kind of depends on the severity of the situation. But if you don’t own this book- from one lifelong tarot reader to another- or even to those who have just started thinking about it. It’s an excellent tool for working on self, and this book is going to be an excellent and vital resource.I would strongly recommend anyone who has tarot books ~ add this to your library! Or if you know a newbie. This makes a great gift… you definitely can’t go wrong!

Decent.
I thought it came with a deck like the barnes and nobles version, I’m very disappointed about that, but the book is informative in my opinion i skimed through it a bit. I will use this to help me with cards.

One of my new favourites
I absolutely love this book. It’s clear and simple and easy to read. I’ve got lots of Tarot books and this is now one of my favourites. It’s laid out clearly with lovely calming illustrations and gives an interpretation of every card’s “meaning” with each card having a page of description. It doesn’t waffle on, but there’s more information than just a few key words and phrases. The book starts with a summary overview of number and suit meanings and suggestions for spreads and how to get the best out of readings. There are case studies with actual readings and interpretations. I prefer this punchy style of layout, (to those books where there’s pages of text that I get bored with). Can well recommend

What a Beautiful Book
I am really surprised at the bad reviews (but I think they may be for the kindle version). I bought the hardback book and it is stunning! It's a beautifully produced Tarot book and is well written and clear. It is also structured in a way that flows nicely so reading is a pleasure. The pictures are gorgeous and the examples of tarot readings really help to cement the learning. I am so pleased I bought this book!

THIS!!!!!
Coming from someone who has an entire library of tarot books, I wish this was the first and only book I purchased for tarot. My oonnnlllyy "wish" for this book was to include the major arcana's #'s like it does for the rest of the suites in their "descriptions". Other than that I really love the layout (super helpful for those wanting to learn while using the cards) and design of this book. So beautiful and insightful. The information is easy to digest and not overwhelming. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to learn tarot but not get "swamped/overwhelmed" by a textbook of information.
