I looked at a few of these bug 'zappers', and wanted to get something that would lure the pests away from me when I was swimming, because I'm one of those 'sweet' blooded fools they love and I'm always loaded down with some kind of salve or cream to get the pesky things off me. But I hate getting it in my pool, and it just washes off. Well I saw this brand, I liked the reviews and the range, and the fact that it wouldn't emit a huge 'zap' when it did it's 'job', so I pulled the 'trigger' so's to speak when it hit a 'flash' deal. Glad I did. The moment I pulled it out to take a night swim, the buggars were on top of it, then...gone. Into little piles of dust...lol. Yuck, but lol. I bought a 2nd one for the front yard patio, and I even hauled it into my office when I noticed a few icky little bugs jumping all over me after some weeding, itching my arms, I don't even want to know what those were - but.... they're... Gone! I love this thing. I may end up with one in every room! I haven't tried to clean it yet, but should be ok...ew, though.

Living in the South we have mosquito problem every summer, especially after heavy rains.We tried another brand of zapper before, but the grid had too much space so flies and mosquitoes were able to flew in and out without being zapped. Now, this one has tighter grid.After a few weeks of usage, we have found it worked on small mosquitoes as well as other bigger bugs. We used it outdoor and indoor, and it never disappointed.ON eissue is that the cord is rather short, so make sure to have an extension cord available.

We got this for mosquitoes. I still see tons everywhere so it doesn't seem like it works too well for those little suckers. However, it does catch and kill lots of other bugs. It's constantly on and outside, does just fine in all types of weather.

It doesn’t really work like I expected in zapping fruit flies or other small bugs after having it plug in 24/7 days on wasting electricity while little bug flies bothering me that come inside my house from my neighbors that have gardens fruits that go bad

I was shopping for a low cost bug killer when purchased. It was pretty cheap. I find that the title bug zapper is technically correct, but this unit is not a type where you hear the satisfying sound of them being dispatched. It is also not one that kills a large portion of what enters it. Usually when the cup on the bottom is emptied, along with the dead ones, a small cloud of live ones who somehow survived flies away. It seems to be more like a bug taser that stuns a good amount and maybe teaches them a lesson for coming into my yard, but they seem to have a fairly good chance of surviving the experience. It is now a gross catch and release program I run. The bugs and I have both accepted it.

Upon arrival and plugging in, UV light was operational but the high voltage zapping grid was not working. Amazon was contacted and immediately sent a replacement unit (great service!). The second unit powered up as expected but a much lower Zap intensity was noted for the 4200 volts high voltage grid advertised. Analysis and checking with a meter showed the high voltage grid at 954 volts instead of around 4200 volts. This is similar to other low powered units advertised and sold on Amazon. I believe Amazon/Loytio are incorrectly advertising this product as a high powered 4200 volt versus 1000 volt zapper.However, after a couple of days of operation I’m noticing that this lower powered unit is still taking care of the bugs (electrocuting them gently without the loud Zap and occasional smoke) but at a lower intensity which meets my overall need, hence I’ve decided to keep this unit. I believe Amazon and Loytio need to correct the apparently false advertising immediately.

We travel quite a bit so I chose this bug zapper because of its size and portability. Bugs have been really bad this year, it doesn't seem to matter what time of day I try to sit outside the bugs immediately converge on me and make me miserable but this light draws them to it and away from me. This zapper can be sat on a table or hung and it has a removable bottom that catches the dead bugs. I'm not gonna lie, a huge feeling of satisfaction comes over me every time I hear a zap because I know there is one less fly or mosquito to bite me, I highly recommend this product, it works in small areas, indoors or larger patios and effectively eliminates pests.

This zapper is AMAZING, it draws the bugs to it near instantly! See my photos added after only 1 hour of use that is the amount of bugs collected in the bottom not counting the one's I have yet to clean from the inside that got stuck. So happy I purchased this and it's going to get used regularly inside and out. I have young children and the guard around it is great for preventing their small fingers from getting to it if they happen to get near it and attempt. I do wish the power cord was a little longer so maybe in the future if they make a longer extension for cord plug I'll buy another one or few as well, in the meantime I'm ecstatic I can finally sit outside with a simplistic yet wonderful bug zapper and not get eaten alive while trying to relax and unwind or even just enjoy the use inside for this occasional pests that fly in at night!

Solo lo e puesto 3 veces y no más de 2 horas y está que es la tercera el foco o ya no emite la intecidad que tenía y por el momento no a matado ni a una mosca no se que pensar, pero bueno por el momento veré si puedo adquirir un foco nuevo y lo sacaré al patio que pensaba ponerlo ahí a ver que resulta.

Lo compré para erradicar mosquitos y solo atrapa palomillas y algunos los deja vivas.Los mosquitos siguen y ahora tengo más palomillas por que las atrae.Y te dan un cupón de $20 doláres para que opines bien del producto y la verdad yo creo que por eso está bien recomendado, pero no es un buen producto.No es un buen producto.

El equipo es de buena calidad , y se ve resistente sin embargo la función para la cual se requiere , no funciona , ahora sí que ni una mosca y mosco se le acerca
