New American Standard Gift & Award Bible; Burgundy Imitation Leather Leather Bound – March 1, 1997

This is a very nice thin bible which I would recommend to anyone looking for an affordable bible with a great translation. For my daily bible reading I use the ESV for no other reason but just because of its easiness to read. But I would disagree that the NASB is difficult to read as I have heard from many people on the internet. I actually find my self picking up this NASB bible almost every day and reading from it. Sometimes I will read a passage from the ESV And then pick up this NASB and compare translations just out of curiosity and never do I find doctrinal or meaning differences between the two translations.This bible comes with a very nice incrimination leather cover that has glossy look to it with golden edge pages and the paper inside is not bright white which is nice because it gives it more of a classic bible feel to it. It may feel a bit stiff at first but just like a baseball glove start braking it in by bending it around your thighs every 100 pages or so and eventually the book will bend and open like real leather.For $9 bucks you can't go wrong if it falls apart for another $9 bucks you can buy another bible. I have never bought an expensive bible and never paid no more than $20 for a bible except for the MacArthur Study Bible and at the end all that matters to me is that all the words are in the bible and that they are accurately translated from the original text which is what the NASB does very well.

I absolutely love this bible. The translation is easy to read and understand the context. I love the small size and that the print is big enough to be able to read. I have vision issues so most of the Bibles I've found in my budget had print too small to read. The quality is superb for the price. The cover isn't fancy, it's stiff, but I like that. I've put tabs on mine and it just looks perfect. I love that it has the ten commandments in the front and help topics in the back as well as maps and a concordence. The only downsides are no bookmark ribbon and finding a carrying cover small enough, though I don't actually need one. If you are looking for a quality budget friendly bible, this is it.

The cover is durable and flexible, and the book may be carried easily for travel. I use it all the time for Bible study or going to church. Also, it is worth mentioning that this is the NASB 1995 version, which is superior to the 'new' NASB.

I purchased this little Bible for travel, and for taking with me when I have many items to carry in a book bag and can't add a 10 pound study bible to my load.This Bible is feather light, and the cover is made of a sturdy synthetic material. The text size of 6.8 isn't too difficult to read for those with good eyesight. I am able to read it without reading glasses and my eyes don't feel strained, though I do have to hold it somewhat close to my face. The pages are very thin which contributes to it's weight reduction, but also makes it unlikely that one could do any hi-lighting or note taking in the Bible without having the marks bleed through the pages. The front inside cover of my Bible could have used a bit of extra glue in one area, the the mild flaw is unlikely to cause any problems as long as I treat the book well. Overall, this is an attractive little Bible that will function well as a traveling companion.

The media could not be loaded.  I think is a great bible for anyone in particular, either you're a beginner or advanced. It has the 10 commandments in the beginning of the book as soon as you open it, and in the end of the book it has a concordance and where to find help based on the situation you're going through or feeling.

So superb, thin, and well made. The full NASB references and footnotes in the center column, a paragraph-style format for smooth reading, a compact and thin size, and yet the 9 point type is quite readable. Not to mention the smythe sewn binding to last decades. I didn't see the leather or inner liner problems that some older reviews found. I purchased the burgundy "Genuine Leather” with matte finish rather than a glossy look. Just Compare it to a similar Bible from Cambridge or Allan - they go for $120 to $200 - but the type face is too small in those editions. What a deal for a great Bible.

This is the best Bible at the cost of Rs.692. Nobody won't get a foreign printed NASB below Rs 1000.The text is very clear and semi bold.Binding quality is extraordinary.It is not genuine leather.

I have a large print, sizeable Bible for home use, but wanted one for taking round and about. This Bible is excellent - lightweight, with very clear type and limited bleed through. Definitely recommended.

You've got to have glasses or a good eyesight to read this Bible. Otherwise it's good quality for the price

The cover looks like leather but it's pretty cheap-feeling plastic, but it's ok for this price-range. The readability is good, as you can see in the photo.
