Works like a charm
I had bought a havahart trap from HD first and even though the traps were big, I didn't catch any for 3-4 days. Either the trap doors were closing by itself or squirrels were too smart to escape with the bait without putting pressure on the bait tray... I bought these with the least of expectations, but caught one within the first 2 hours of setting it. I've had this out for 3 days and caught one each day. I've been having a squirrel problem for the last month or so where the squirrels have gotten on to my roof and chewed through soffits and gone into the dormor. Also on side of the house they have chewed the sidings and gone in through the wooden boards into my ceiling.. I cut down some trees so that they can't get on my roof and now i've relocated 3 of them into wooded areas.. The traps are sturdy enough and the squirrels haven't been able to get out of them by chewing thru.

It works
Well, after 40 bucks worth of emergency food was soiled, or completely disappeared, it was time. I didn't want to kill him (Yes, I assigned a gender) but I wanted the little bast*rd gone. He snuck in through the clothes dryer vent. I read numerous post and took some of the advice. I placed the trap on the floor, near the vent (after moving the dryer), and filled it with tasty morsels. Blueberries, chocolate (he seemed to have a proclivity) dry dog treats, and peanut butter on cracker pieces. I made a short line with the treats leading into the trap. I DID NOT SET TRAP. I wanted him to feel comfortable. The first morning all the food leading up to the trap was gone. The second morning the food inside had become an ant buffet. I cleaned the trap, brought in fresh food, and placed it on the shelf where the food had been. I DID NOT SET TRAP. Late that evening I went to check and you probably heard the scream in Texas because we ran into one another and the little, well, mildly chubby, bast*rd brushed my pants as he scurried back to the vent hole. Now I'm highly agitated and talking to the vent hole. "I'm going to set this trap one more time and if you don't get in it and allow me to relocate you your time on this planet is up!" So, I left. Trap was now set. The following evening I checked before going to bed. Viola! Got ya! Of course, that was the easy part. I dress, put on gloves, he's bucking around, I'm thinking of every scary movie I've ever seen where the rat escapes and chews on your face, but I push onward. I put the cage in a plastic tote. I take tote to my truck. We drive a mile away. I'm hoping he's not one of those Disney rats where they can smell their way home. I find ivy and trees and gingerly release him with one more stern warning. So, a bit of work and hassle, BUT....much better than poisoning or gluing some poor guy's foot to the point where he bites it off. The trap worked. The rat has not returned. Tomorrow I use Flex-all to fill the holes. End scene.

Excellent little rodent trap
This has been the best $20 I’ve ever spent in pest control. We had a troupe of chipmunks tearing up my raised bed and potted plants, as well as stealing bird food, and we wanted to humanely be rid of them. We caught 4 chipmunks in one day and have relocated them all in the forest where they belong lol. Trap is easy to set, trigger is very light, and it’s easy to move the critters from point A to point B. I do recommend putting plastic or cardboard under the trap if you have it inside of your car, otherwise you will definitely get rodent droppings in it.

Free Pet Squirrels !
SQRLSEC it's like WITSEC, only you are taking gangster squirrels and safely relocating them for their own protection. Over the last 2 years squirrels have been causing havoc at our house, eating ornamentals and burrowing, also annoying the dogs. Can't poison or shoot them because of collateral damage and once trapped I don't have the heart to whack them. The trap is very light weight and delicate, it did sustain shipping damage but was easily bent back into functional shape, should have bought a sturdier unit, but it works. Squirrels-0,Rats-0, DB-1 each so far...Update: raised it 1 star, 6 squirrels have now been safely relocated with new identities, learning curve on baiting and placement now yielding better results.Update 2- 7squirrels, 1 chipmunk, 1 rat, 1 mouse, 2 finches all safely relocated with new identities !

Sent the wrong trap and metal is galvanized steel and not aluminum
I ordered Trap Top's "Large" trap at 12.5 x 6.5 x 5 inches. I received "Medium" trap at 11 x 5.5 x 4.3 inches. Error was probably caused by labeling since both traps appear to have identical bar codes - but packaging uses different coloring. The error may have been Amazon's fault because they applied their ASIN sticker for the large trap to the medium trap product. Description erroneously claims that these are rust free aluminum. They are attracted to magnets which indicates they are in fact galvanized steel and not aluminum. This is a misrepresentation by the manufacturer / seller. Other than that the trap is reasonably priced for its construction. Just be careful of what you buy and check to see if you received what you ordered.

Seems really good, the metal might be too thin?
I tried to catch this elusive mouse for a month. I tried glue traps, standard flip traps, etc... I decided enough was enough and spent a good amount of money for this trap. On the day that I placed this trap, the stupid mouse decided it would be best to die by the 50 cent flip trap instead. My mouse problem is gone but at what cost? So I don't know how well this works but I think I'll use it for squirrels instead. My only concern is that the metal feels thin to where strong enough mice could probably chew through it. I don't know if they would but I wouldn't put it passed them. I think this is the highest quality trap you can buy on amazon. Plus, there's no way a mouse can run back on time once the trap is triggered. It's worth getting.
