This is actually the cheapest compared to other extruders, probably because it comes all the way from China. It didnt bother me, i didnt need it fast. And actually shipping was pretty fast. I got it within 10 days, compared to 2 - 3 weeks wait that it estimates when ordering.About the product. It seems similar to others on Amazon, except for price. I didnt know it would be junk or not, and spending 3 $ less for junk seems like a better option for me.I bought it for my children use with their homemade play dough. I thought it would we simpler to use compared to the other green ones that were longer and needed to be turned.I also wanted to buy the syringe type ones, but those were around 10$ or more and i thought i would have to deal with more small pieces of toy lying around when they are done with playing.So this is actually a good alternative. The size was good for their little hands. My son also disassembled it and it was easy to re-assemble. It was durable enough and easy to clean. Some of the patterns on the plate were too small, and it was not precise enough. I.e a star plate doesnt really look like a star ( but it could be fault of the dough).But its pretty solid and durable. One star off just because i dont have any experience with other extruders therefore i cannot say its the best one found in Amazon. And my children had hours of fun with this.

I read the mixed reviews and was hesitant to purchase this one, but I took a chance. First off, my extruder was missing some of the discs. The handle kept getting stuck and at one point the clay I was extruding was coming out from between the tube and the disc, not through the disc. I was really disappointed and do not recommend it.

I’m super sad about this item. I craft with clay all the time and was very excited about this. I used it a couple of times and the plastic lid that holds the plates in broke. So I can’t use it any longer.

I used this product twice the second time it gave way while I pressed the conditioned clay through the large hole to make loop earnings. I don't recommend this plastic item!! Get the full metal ones that won't break on you. I'm very disappointed!
