The wax seems great. Good price for 10 pounds of wax, stickers and wicks.So I asked questions here about how to work with this candle wax and read product reviews. looked for an Etienne Alair candle making website (there isn't one). So it's us and Google ... here's what I have to contribute:Evidently soy wax can hold maximum 6% to 10% fragrance load but this wax doesn't say its maximum. I tried with 6% and 8% load so far. (That means 6 or 8 % of the total weight is fragrance weight)There are calculators online to tell you how many ounces or grams of wax make a candle of any given volume... seriously this is like chemistry class all over again!!The wax melts at 170 degrees and the internet says you add the fragrance oil at 185 degrees (stirring gently in back-and-forth motions, not in circles so you don't create bubbles). Use some kind of thermometer. You'll be shocked to see how fast the temperature of wax rises. If you add the fragrance at too high a temperature the Internet says it will have trouble binding to the wax...I used 2 wicks per candle because my goals is to get them to smell (throw) as much as possible. The wick stickers held tightly to the bottom of the jar. The wicks burn nicely. The wick centering tool worked great. Once the wicks settled a bit my sister anchored them with pieces of tape because we were making so many candles and the kit only has two metal wick centering devicesI waited 48 hours and burned my candles. They are burning nice and evenly. Not smoking, not tunneling. Throwing scent reasonably well given how small the candles are.Great introductory kit that allowed us to – within an hour of Internet research – not completely screw up our first batch of candles 😁😁. La cera es de muy buena calidad, no tiene aroma. Estoy empezando en esto y no sé diferenciar si la cera es de alto ó bajo punto de fusión, no dice en ninguna parte. Mi meta es que genere un gran aroma al encender el resultado final. En la primera, usé un 10% de fragancia a los 60°C, mezcle por 2 minutos, el vertido al vaso lo hice a los 50°C, esperé 24 horas para encenderla, ya que era una vela de 80 gr, el olor ue moderado y la combustión impecable, la segunda fue mas grande y usé otro tipo de mecha y fue un desastre, hoy la tercera, veremos el resultado en 48 horas. Practicar y practicar hasta dominar la técnica.

Perfect! Used to teach kids about life in the first century - candle making, bread baking, soap making, etc.While the kit wasn’t 100 % authentic, in historical context, it definitely demonstrated the method.

I absolutely love making candles. This is been my new thing lately I found this package that came with wicks, the stickers that you put down to hold a wick and soy wax as well. I believe it also comes with two metal racks that you put on the candle wick while it is firming so it doesn’t go in a weird direction. Highly recommended love love love it. I bought it many times!

Cera de muy buena calidad .

Out of the two different waxes I've bought off Amazon, this wax is by far the best one. It hold the fragrance good, burns better than the other, and sets up good.Will be buying this again.
