CeraVe Healing Ointment, 12 oz - 2pc

My skin is much softer and doesn’t tare like it did. I am 71 and worked in the sun most of my life. This really helps.

I thought I should up my game… I know I should like this better cuz it’s more expensive, but I vastly prefer Vaseline. When I get contact dermatitis I use V as a protection barrier until healed (few days) & also use it to remove eye make up & I use to to smother & destroy a zit if I get one. This is too thin for me & it actually GAVE me a zit. I never get acne with Vaseline. All in all for someone with desperately sensitive rashy skin, that’s allergic to everything, the cheap stuff nails it and gets the job done. I gave this on to a friend

My mom's dermatologist recommended this for her very dry skin. I ordered the two-pack to have one for me and my peculiar swimming rash problem.Pool chemicals (plus their reaction to sunlight) leave me with very itchy rashes on my upper arms and legs and the tops of my hands. In addition to all the usual topical anti-itch products plus a pill my doctor prescribed, I tried several after-swim chlorine removal products and soaps. Some of them worked a little; some worked better in various combinations. None of them worked well enough. The itching never really stopped. I was scratching in my sleep. My hands in particular, with their thinner skin, were getting torn apart. I swim every day during the summer: this was excruciating.This Cerave Healing Ointment was expensive but am I glad I tried it! It made a huge difference almost immediately. It looks like a kind of frosty Vaseline, and I suppose in a way that's what it is. The active ingredient is petrolatum, which is basically petroleum jelly. I suppose some of the other stuff they put in helps make it less greasy, because it is not at all greasy like Vaseline. It's a strange consistency, almost hard to scoop out of the jar and even spread over your skin. It doesn't apply thickly (unless you really try).I don't know if any of those other ingredients have anything to do with it's healing effectiveness, but dang! I got immediate itch relief, and within a day my skin was noticeably healing. In about three days the worst area, on one finger, was all but completely healed.I got this product too late in the swim season to try it out as a pre-swim preventative. If I apply it before I get in the pool, will it prevent the chlorine from even affecting me? I'll find out next summer, for sure. This stuff is amazing. I sure wish I'd found it a few years ago.

I’m a bartender and my hands are constantly cracked and sometimes bleeding due to the dishwashing and bleach water we use to wipe tables. This stuff is fantastic, I use it when I get home from work before bed. We also use it instead of diaper creme on my son and it works even better and doesn’t smell funky.

Wife likes it for use on areas of skin the have psoriasis.
