The Rumford Gardener Tuff-Guard Expanding Hose, 75-Feet

After using it after a few days, it burst!!! Maybe because of the warm weather here in California.I wonder if there is no warranty on this product?Thanks.

I loved this hose when it first arrived! Unfortunately I have only had it for less than 90 days and the hose busted from the inside leaving me with a product that is completely unusable. (see picture) I only used the hose a few times a month so it had very little use. The return policy is only 30 days so I have now ended up spending a lot of money on an item that only lasted just less than 3 months that I cant return or get a refund for. So unfortunately I can not give this product any better than 2 - stars.

I've had bad experiences with other expanding hoses, but decided to give them one more try after I got the following intel from a helpful guy at my friendly local hardware store: don't turn the water on high, and don't use the shut-off valve on the end of the hose, as the rubberized inner lining just can't take the pressure. While I'd much prefer to be able to turn the hose on full blast, I'm willing to put up with this use restriction because these hoses are much less of a pain to use than ordinary hoses. I bought this model in early July and having been using it without problem (with moderate water flow) for the last several weeks. I'm doing to go ahead and buy another one to use in the front yard. The manufacturers need to be more explicit about the limitations of their product (or better yet could find a stronger material to use as a liner) - even with those limits, these are still a lot easier to use for many applications than traditional hoses.

The first hose failed after 25 minutes or so washing a car. The replacement hose lasted less than 5 minutes. Both failed about 3 or 4 feet from the valve end. The black casing split causing the internal bladder to fail. After the second failure I measured the water pressure at the outside faucet. It is 47 to 52 PSIG which is much less than the advertised capacity of this hose. Amazon replaced the first hose and authorized reimbursement for the second.

DIDN'T LAST

Bought this hose mid year last year for watering flowers so there was not tough use of it. This year it exploded like a balloon! Lightweight hose but no door prize. These hoses are expensive and although one would not expect the lifespan of the standard construction hose, I would expense a bit better from a tuff-guard. Hence, the reason I spent more in the first place.

We ordered this hose and were initially pleased with the connectors (heavy duty) and the overall product, but after 4 uses this Spring, it burst! We emptied the hose of water every time after use in order not to stress the material, but it burst anyhow. Considering this is marketed as a heavy duty "Tuff Guard" product, I am not happy with its performance.

I bought two of them and one broke but the other still works. I would probably not buy another one
