Rogue Photographic Design ROGUEKIT-LGBOX FlashBender Large Soft Box Kit (Black/White)

I only had one opportunity to use this product as the fastener tore off the strap after a few hours of use. So, I've returned it. For the short time I used it, I was pleased with the overall quality of the light and I'll replace it. I've used the Gary Fong Collapsible Lightsphere for a few years and I love it. But, when shooting events with people all around you, the flash can be quite annoying to the people behind you. I bought the FlashBender for those type of situation and it was perfect, no blinding people behind me. I'm hoping I just got one that was defective or I would have given it 5 stars.

So there are obviously lots of choices for diffusers. This is LARGE, as stated. It would work well for a group shot or a room where the flash/camera is mounted on a stand or tripod, which is why I bought it. The soft box gives a more diffused light than just the diffusion panel, but both work well.If you wanted to walk around with a diffuser on a flash, I would opt for a smaller version, but this could probably still work out; you might find it cumbersome.Attaches OK to flash but tends to be top heavy.Glad I bought it, but it's not my only diffuser.

This seems to work well for my photo sessions. One tip would be buy also a Monopod and attached your flash to it. it will give a great extendable handle to the set up for an assistant or your self. I usually shoot on a tripod and I will use that method to move it around to get the light at just the right place.

I should have guessed that a frameless soft box that sits on your flash would be too good to be true. Bounce card and snoot work fine though. I like the super scoop better for bounce card though.

It does what it needs to do, but don't expect miracles.It is a little heavy though, and will pull your flash head down.

Product has performed as expected. It's a must own in my opinion.

Didn't fit canon 430ex very well, and didn't see a difference versus flash alone.

Excellent portable modifier. Increases light source size sufficiently for various scenarios. Perfect for crowd shots at an event. I just use the main diffuser panel. It and the back piece fold up perfectly and store in the front pocket of my camera bag so I always have it with me.

Exactly as posted. Great with communication. Would use again.
