Review "Reading Clarity was like seeing something extraordinary happening, like the first time a bird flies. It was so touching and beautiful and charming, and is absolutely recommended to everyone, young or old." - A Thousand Lives Lived"The interaction between Liam and Helen had those incredibly tender undertones, full of restrained longing and attraction... Liam says at some point that "Book are medicine for the soul. They heal the eternal parts of a person." This is such a book and it's a book I wouldn't want to miss." - The Book Enthusiast Read more

Clarity
This is meant to be an entertainment/ drama book. Also it's cut up into episodes three episodes. I have some problems with this story mainly with the characters. While there is a lot of drama and intrigue it still didn’t make up for the other things in the story. Clarity revolves around Helen who is blind, and in college she was raped. So distraught by this incident, she left without telling her family where she was and went into the mountains where for a few years she wrote books, and hardly ever spoke to a person or left her home. Then one day she hears two men trudging towards her home, they knock on her door and tell her they're doctors and they have the opportunity of a lifetime for her. With new technology she may be able to regain her sight. At first she's a little hesitant, in need of someone she calls her sister who immediately asks her to come to her wedding and the good doctor persists. Then she goes with two strange men across country to her sisters wedding, then on to the operation. My main problem with the story is Helen, after years of locking herself up in her house she let's in a couple of strange men. Keep in mind that she isolated herself because she was raped by a man. Then she goes off with them. I understand this was meant to show that this is not the life that Helen wants and somewhere in the back of her mind she probably knows that is now or never, plus she can probably sense that these guys are good looking too, even though on of them talks about porn in detail for several hours. It just doesn’t add up to what I had in my head of what someone in that situation would realistically do.While Hellen might have been a problem this piece was still entertaining. While the porn scene may have been out of place it was still funny. I found Hellen's sister entertaining too, even though I would have disowned her if she ever tried half of what she was doing with Hellen with me. (Forcing her to have a date, forcing her to prove she has a date, not caring where she's been for the last three years.)I saw the ending of this as kind of predictable. As soon as I heard her sister was getting married I was thinking what would add the most drama to this piece and keep my attention? Turns out I was right. This goes into two other books I believe. I think I would have liked this a lot more if it had been just one big book all together. Otherwise this feels like a gimmick, just to get more money for a book that I'm only mildly interested in finishing.

Better
I use better bc in getting this book free I did not know it was part of another book I read a couple weeks ago when Carmen found Grayson hanging from the chandelier and I gave it a bad review bc it was to over the top with sex and her husband just died. Is she a nympho, Carmen that is and right after his death and during his "funeral" yuk? She is an hour late for the funeral and NO ONE IS THERE!!! Being an hour late and no one else there except for Brad.....that is not likely. Then she let's her dead husbands best friend "finger her" right against the casket almost achieving an orgasm at (sickening to say the least, makes me wonder about some peoples sick fantasy's) the funeral that no one is attending? The book had no ending which i guess will be meshed in the mess. This book with her sisters story is much better. Tho again, more Q's, a rape victim opening her door to two strange men out in the middle of no where even tho they new her docs name?? A rape victim just wouldn't do that! I like how the sisters are, even tho a 3 year absence they are as if they saw each other ystrdy. That's how it truly goes as I've had those times with girlfriends. This book was better, much better and I like Winter Rose's personality a lot. She is genuine!
