Number of little mistakes through the book that my child noticed! For example bananas suddenly became oranges in a shopping equation, and total number of flowers and Number of tulips assigned the same symbol in another equation! And few spelling mistakes. Also some of the equations became far more complex than they should have been at the level they were trying to demonstrate.Has been helpful but only because I was able to guide through it. Not the best book of you don’t already have a good grasp of algebra

My child and I really like the way the book is laid out and find the exercises easy to follow - great idea and handy to have all the answers worked out at the back. May be too difficult for a year 4 but for year 5 it's really helpful. Overall if you are teaching your child eleven plus yourself and not going to a tutor it is a godsend.
