Good fan but may need modifications to fit.
Depending in your situation the plug might need to be cut and hard wired to make it fit. I needed a fan to fit in my 7" conduit but the plug made it impossible. I just cut the wire, drilled a hole in the faceplate for the plug socket and threaded it through to the wire nuts. (See pictures.) Some caulking seals up any gaps for aesthetic purposes. The fan itself is quiet and powerful enough for an average bathroom. The spring loaded dampers work very well to prevent droughts. Good fan for hard to find 70s style replacements.

A Great Exhaust Fan with Modifications!
I have a basement bathroom that was in need of an exhaust fan in the Winter. The bathroom does have a window that can be opened for venting purposes; however, in the Winter, stepping out of a hot shower into an Arctic blast is not an enjoyable experience. So, I decided to put in an exhaust fan. After much study, I chose this particular exhaust that would suit my purposes. This particular fan does not have an on/off switch which is problematic. So, I decided to make it switchable by adding a new outlet and switch and hardwiring the fan into the new box! Voila! A switchable fan as shown in the pictures. You can see that the fan unit itself is unobtrusive and quite nice-looking. With the addition of the switch, it is now more convenient!

Not operational!
It looked like it was a quality item, however it was supposed to be “remote” operation, and no remote, or instructions were enclosed in the package. There was no way to turn it on to see if it even worked. Very disappointed!

Very loud
Easy enough to install, but it is NOT a big air mover nor is it quiet.

Nice exhaust fan
The media could not be loaded. The fan was an exact fit for the existing air vent in my garage. Fan is not as loud. It helps in cooling down the garage by removing the humid and hot air. It also helps remove the car exhaust in the space.

Premature motor failure.
Purchased and waited about 6 months before installing. Its purpose was to exhaust warm air from a bedroom during the summer months. Wall mounted. Ran it for 24 hours a day for about 2 weeks before the motor started making noises. Sounds like bearing failure. This is cheap junk from China. Don't expect it to last very long.
