Great scent - Lasts two weeks - You can't have it all.
I've only used two bars of the Pine Tar version so far. Some people really expect everything, which isn't possible in one bar of soap. Read on to see if this soap is a match for you:Scent: I absolutely loved it. The scent was great and lasted for the duration of the bar. The bathroom is filled with a woodsy, pine smell that will linger for the next bathroom user. Being a natural soap, it doesn't have the gnarly chemicals that carry the scent on the body and evaporate all day like your supermarket bodywashes, this may be a pro or con to you. You will smell a light, non-intrusive generic soap smell on your skin after drying off.Lather/Lifespan: This soap lathers extremely well, better than most shampoos I've used (but likely the cause of its shorter lifespan). So much so in fact that I use it in my hair and have even used it to shave and touch up beard lines. Mine lasted two weeks to the day. That's showering for ten minutes and hair washing, once every day with generous application head to toe, with the occasional shave. A harder soap bar will last longer, but likely not lather as well and possibly leave you squeaky with remaining soap residue. When your bar gets thin, fold it in half and squash together, I had no breakages at all.Cleanliness/Skin: I feel immaculate afterwards. The exfoliating sand/woodchips are tiny and not harsh at all, with no conscious effort to wash off or clean out of the shower. I can't abide the astringent/tightness/drying/squeaky effect most soaps give. Squeakiness I read is due to soap residue not washing off from harder soaps and/or manufacturers skimping on ingredient content that usually prevent this. My skin is not taut or dry and has the least dreaded 'squeaky' feel of all the soaps I've tried so far. This soap is for you: If you want to enjoy your shower with a nice scent, excellent lather, natural ingredients for skin/hair health, with little squeak and no astringent/dryness.This soap is not for you: If you want a long lasting bar life (more than two weeks), or a carrier scent to follow you through the day. A more generic bar/bodywash of non natural ingredients may be better suited to you. No shame in it, use what you enjoy!Scent is always subjective to the user, as is price. It's a bit steep I agree, but only you can decide if it's worth it for you. Buy one bar and compare to other soaps like me.Also of note, you can buy this soap considerably cheaper from the Dr. Squatch website if you aren't in a hurry, so I gave 'value' 3/5 stars. Happy soap using!

Love the soap....but very pricey

4-7 washes
Product smells great but lasts for about 1/10 of what a normal bar of soap does… Wouldn’t mind but considering the price I’d be spending too much a month if I was to use this consistently
