The Energy Detective MTU Home Measuring Transmitting Unit

I installed the device and started tracking my power usage with the second-by-second graphic display. I was able to detect things in my home that were driving up my power bill and I eliminated them. One of the biggest users was an old AC compressor that had an electric heater on all the time, 24/7. I cut off the breaker and that alone saved me a lot of money. The items I detected cut my electric bill by more than $100 per month. Paid for itself. After I got the power bill down in my first home, I took it to my vacation home and did the same. If your power bill is too high, this device will help you identify why and confirm that you have corrected the problem. After a few months and everything is stable, I probably should have sold the unit on eBay. Once you find and fix the causes of your high electric bill, you really don't need it any longer.

I have a Ted pro home unit and that works great. I would rate this 5 IF it was for a TED Pro Home unit as the description states, however this is NOT the case. This is an add-on MTU/CTU set for a Ted 5000 and as TED confirms this will NOT work with a Ted Pro Home. (as of the time of this review. TheEnergyDetective.com (TED store) has this exact unit for $84.95 while Amazon lists it for $99.38)
