Warmac Bagpipes Practice Chanter Reed

I ordered one of these practice chanter reeds as a backup... I have two old Lawrie PCs (one a 1980, the other one a similar era African Blackwood one) and these Warmac red plastic reeds always seem to work the best.I also have a mid to late 90's African Blackwood long PC, which works great with one of these reeds, and has been reeded with a red Warmac for a long time. After trying out this new red Warmac I just got, I get the same results.I don't know how one of these reeds would work with a newer plastic PC (not having one), but I can tell you they work great with blackwood PCs.

I recently bought an inexpensive practice chanter, but the poor quality reed it came with rendered it virtually unplayable. After reading reviews I ordered a Warmac reed, and the transformation was incredible. Now the chanter is quite playable. This was an excellent improvement.

This reed did the trick and lasted quite a while before it started to go out on me while practicing. for the price, not a bad investment.

My ordered reed, arrived promptly, I had issues tuning to my chanter, a replacement was sent , works a treat. Highly recommended.

Shipped quick and was in exellant shape. I've always used Warmac in my Stark chanter and this one is consistent with the others. Well made, and good sound.

2 out of 5 are ok. The others sound terrible or don’t play at all.

I'm very pleased with this reed. It doesn't take much effort to blow the reed and it's forgiving.
