Quality made roller
As I go into my geezer years, I find I am losing the strength that used to be fairly natural to me. So now I'm actually having to exercise and do strength training. One of the things I find I'm doing is dropping things more frequently which pisses me off to no end. I have also had to downsize the pistols I fire for recreation since it was harder to shoot the heavier calibers. An instructor at the gun range advised me that the best way to build up shooting strength is to use a wrist roller. After cruising the different rollers on Amazon, I chose this one based on it looking so much more sturdy than the other ones. I've been very satisfied with this choice. It is very sturdy and very comfortable to use. It feels like it's made of a heavy duty plastic. The handle part is covered in a rubber sheet which makes it comfortable but I like to wear exercise gloves so I don't get blisters just in case. The whole roller is well made. The webbing on the weight belt is wide and strong and well attached to the roller. Truth be told, I've not used weights yet because I'm still building up to it but I feel I made the right choice with this particular brand.

The best forearm workout away from the gym
Pros:This product is *very* sturdy. The pin that holds the plates feels like it could be slammed into concrete and only get a scratch. The handles and strap are also all very tough. This product is also very efficient. You won't be using more than 10lbs anytime soon using this, I can deadlift 310lbs for reps with no chalk, but 5 reps on this with 5lbs sets the forearms a burnin'.The added handles on the end also allows a variation of your grip and this is the only one of its type I've seen that has this.Cons:The rubber grips on the handle leave a feeling like touching fly paper while in use, they also allow your hand to slip a bit during use if you aren't watching for it(I recommend opening your hand all the way between each turn, to maximize your workout)The manual that comes with it doesn't give any workout suggestions, it just says, essentially, "Roll all the way up slowly and roll all the way down slowly, go bananas". I would have very much prefered "For size 4 set of 8-12 reps, for strength 5 sets of 3 reps" Or something to that effect since this isn't a normal weight lifting exercise.Overall: 4/5(I almost never give 5's) Would by again if I grew a second set of arms

Great product
I was going to make a home-made version, as my gym has a weight tied to a dowel, but, I'm glad I decided to buy this one instead. This is well made, with multiple grip options. I don't know exactly what material the handle is, but, my sweaty hands are able to maintain a good grip. I would recommend this as a lot of thought seems to have gone into the design. PS: their customer service is great too... as I had a minor issue that they resolved immediately.

Beware Plastic Fatigue
I've used this for five years, using only a ten pound weight. Good ergonomics and nice design, but just noticed a large developing crack in the center. Bad news if it breaks unexpectedly and the weights drop to the floor. After five years of use maybe I shouldn't complain, but I'd be willing to pay more for something made of metal.

OVER PRICED
This product has an extremely good design for a hand held wrist roller. Actually, I would say extremely good design. However, due to the materials used it cannot bare much weight, and is therefore extremely over priced. This wrist roller as a result of not baring much weight is good for a beginner, or a child. I want to emphasize that the idea behind the design is excellent and this should be marketed to a manufacturer who is willing to use materials that can safely bare weight over 20 lbs.I would not recommend buying this product unless you are a beginner, buying it for a child, or do not have any ambitions of developing noteable strength, and perhaps are buying it for rehabilitation purposes. You can buy wrist rollers made of steel that can bare much greater weight for less than the Wrist Ripper roller. The particular design element I liked was to have the knobs on the end. Most wrist rollers are only a cylinder of various diameters. There are specialized wrist rollers that basically function like a giant yo-yo wrist roller. These specialized wrist rollers particularly focus on the part of the forearm that is used when hammering with a hammer and give a flared appearance. This is called wrist deviation. The cylinder wrist rollers work the flexers as when doing a barbell curl and/or a wrist curl, and the extensers when doing a barbell reverse curl and/or reverse wrist curl.Again, excellent idea as a prototype for combining two types of wrist rollers in one by adding the end knobs.

Probably the best wrist roller on the market
This Wrist Ripper works great. The added ball shaped ends add another dimension to the workout that similar products lack. The wide strap and the tapered spool area keeps the strap centered which is a big plus. The rubber is extremely grippy beyond what I would have liked. A dab of talcum powder on my palms solved the problem and after quite a few sessions I haven't had to add talcum again. The clip for attaching to the weight pin has a spring tab that is too hard to comfortably push to open. I'm using a cable clip from my Bowflex instead. Overall it's a well designed piece of exercise equipment, though a bit more expensive than I feel it should be. It does what it is supposed to do and should last me forever, so I would buy it again since it's better than the piece of closet hanger rod with a rope I've been using. The product arrived with the weight pin missing. The seller responded the same day and sent the missing part, so customer support is excellent.

If you're getting it for the end grips, forget it
I got this because I wanted to replace the wood dowel rod I currently use. I liked the feature of being able to grab the ends for an extra exercise that the other products didn't offer. However, the end grips are very uncomfortable to the point where I think it did more harm than good. It actually hurt to use them which is the main reason I got this over other similar products. I ended up returning this which was my first Amazon return ever. The construction seems fine and the main grips aren't too bad (although I'd prefer foam over a thin rubber grip).
