Top notch product. It's made 100% of applewood which is safe for rats to chew on and it looks amazing (just like a real piece of wood from a forest). Since our rat cage have a "ewok village" look with all the natural items we have inside, this fit the look PERFECTLY. The rats love to jump from one ledge to the other and was a total game changer for how they access their hammock (that they used to ignore before we gave them those boosters). Our item came with one missing bolt though... So I had to get one from our garage to try to stabilize it. Also it's been a month since the product is unavailable from Amazon, so.. would like to purchase more (with an extra bolt would be cool). Please seller, add more products.

It's been very hard finding accessories for my rats online- so many wood pieces show up moldy or have finishes or coatings that were not mentioned in the item description. However, these ledges showed up in great condition and you can tell they are just pure wood with no finishing. They were easy to install and are super stable- my rats love climbing on them and I will probably order another set since they like them so much! I'm very happy with this purchase.Update: I have since bought more so I can swap ledges out to clean and my girls won't miss them!

Waaaaay too small for my chinchilla!! They are nothing like expected and should not be advertised as “chinchilla ledges” because they are faaaar too small!

This is my second time trying to post my review. It was denied on my first attempt and I don't know why. My concern for others is serious. When this product arrived, I could smell the strong odor as soon as I opened the Amazon soft pak. I didn't even open the plastic that these are sealed in before I saw the rusted screws and yellow mold. This is extremely unsafe to humans and animals. They are also not at all as pictured. It's as if someone just cut a branch in half and added some screws. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

I don't really know what to say. I'm just glad I have a hamster and not a chinchilla. I did google how harmful rust is... And what to consider when putting bark inside a cage.. and how to bake "unknown" wood... I just wanted to share pictures of what I got since I expected something different.

All of the metal in the shelves was completely rusted, including the screws in the shelves, the washers, and the nuts. The washers were more rust than not rust/clean metal. There is no way on God's green earth that I am putting something like this anywhere close to any of my pets. If all of the metal is in that kind of shape, what kind of shape is the wood in? The wood may be moldy/rotten too.STAY AWAY

This rating is more about the integrity of the company, as well as the product. I received my delivery, but unfortunately the bag it was sent in split, and arrived empty. A replacement package was sent immediately, and my degu is so happy! She loves chewing on these. Would definitely buy again!

These ledges are so skinny that my chinchilla cannot even fit on it, I purchased six and only two were large and wide enough for my chinchilla to be on, even then he can’t really rest there he only uses it as a stepping stone.
