Silver Fox Fur Trim Black Cashmere Wrap Cape

Just putting on this cape (which is warm but not heavy to wear) makes me feel glamorous, sexy and like a million dollars - not that I have/am any of those things. I have complete strangers walk up to me and want to touch it. I was prepared for folks to give me grief over wearing real fur. Hardly anyone wears real fur any more. I've worn the cape a lot, and have only had one person (a gal pal) admonish me. I accused her gently of just being jealous - and she admitted she was! This cape has dressed up jeans and a casual top, and a full blown "out on the town" dress up outfit. Just carrying it around over your arm has the same glamorizing effect. You won't be sorry you bought this cape! I purchased this cape in late 2011, as my first purchase for my 65th birthday. Since I only turn 65 once, my plan was to buy myself something very nice each month in 2012. My plan succeeded - but this cape is my FAVORITE present to myself.

After looking for "the" cape for about 2-3 years now I happened on the Amazon website a few months ago. The only capes I'd found prior to this were all one color with dyed to match fur trim (boring), or outrageously expensive for far less cape and fur. Not what I wanted. This cape is not like all the others. This one stood out. This one has pizazz! It's formal, flirty, fun and fabulous. It took me awhile to decide to spend the money - I'm SO glad I did. The cape is my 50th birthday present to myself! It's far more beautiful in person than in the photograph, and when I put it on I feel just as happy as the girl in the picture looks.
