Extended Battery for Blackberry Pearl Flip 8220, Pearl 8220

I bought one of these elsewhere. I didn't know the part number at the time, and I was unable to find it on Amazon without it. I'm glad to know I can buy my next one on Amazon. Anyway, this battery is absolutely AMAZING! I love my BlackBerry 8220, but I hate the battery life. I use it for listening to podcasts and music, plus I use the WiFi and sometimes the Bluetooth features. This eats up a regular OEM battery so fast that I could not go a whole day without swapping in another battery. This extended battery has almost twice the capacity of the OEM battery, and boy does it make a difference! I can now go all day, using whatever features I want, without worrying that the battery will die on me. I would recommend this battery to anyone with a compatible device like the BB 8220 or 8230. However, there are a few cons. 1) This battery protrudes from the back of the phone about 6mm. It comes with a new battery door, as the OEM door won't fit with this larger battery. This makes the phone a bit more bulky, and may cause your phone to no longer fit certain holsters or covers. I have a fairly elastic holster, and it just stretched to fit, but this will not be the case with the hard plastic clip holsters. Additionally the new battery door is not as good quality as OEM. I cleaned my phone with rubbing alcohol, and some of the black rubbed off of the battery door. It's still black, but a little more dull looking. The door is also a bit trickier to remove than the OEM door. For me these cons are not a big deal, and are well worth the trade-off. But just know what you're getting.

Great Product extends the used of this cell phone for a couple of days, great for emergency use when the power is out. Shipped on-time and an easy transaction.
