You will receive one healthy Kombucha SCOBY (symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast) approximately 2 1/2 - 3 inches in diameter and about 1/8 - 1/4 inch thick. The SCOBY will be packed in approximately 1/4 cup of starter liquid (extra strong Kombucha tea). You may see "chunks" of yeast and bacteria starting to grow when it arrives. This will be enough to ferment about two quarts of sweet tea. A new baby SCOBY grows with each new batch of tea - so you can conceivably increase your production with each batch. Inner bag contains a sticker with link to register your SCOBY and dowload instructions on how to set up and maintain your Kombucha brew. PLEASE NOTE: The size, texture and color of each SCOBY will vary.

They did well
When I got these they were 3 inches in diameter and paper thin you could actually see right through zoom. I figured I’d give them a shot and they’ve done very well.I started this on October 26 this is now September 9 and this is what I have. I’m going to taste it today maverick I’ll taste it right now.Very good. I’m going to let it ferment another week.I would do business with them again.

Finally a healthy Scoby!!!
I brewed my own kombucha tea for more than a decade until my Scobys (including my Hotel) were infiltrated with soil fungus from nearby houseplants. I've tried at least four other mail-order starters, and all took forever to brew, and ultimately never developed a healthy mother. This one from Poseymom took no time at all! This healthy mother developed in under two weeks! Couldn't be happier with this product, and I know where I'll come if I have another Scoby tragedy (but houseplants are now FAR from my kombucha brew!)

Great kombucha scoby and starter tea. I had a healthy new scoby within a week. Decent amount of starter tea since I bought 2. Made a great first starter batch of kombucha

Beautiful starters. After the first batch I got a nice 1/4 inch SCOBY!
If you are on the fence about cultivating your own from GTs original or using these, get these. So fast. Kombucha in 10 days. If you make your own it takes like a month and a half if it doesn't fail.. Really no downside. They work great and make good buch. The price is right to not have to go the long route and cultivate your own scoby. I have done both. . . I mean. If you want to experiment making your own, buy these, get kombucha going and in a separate container cultivate your own scoby over 6 weeks. I have done both. . . Just buy these.
