Took a chance based on the one review and it paid off. The metal base is solid with rubber grips on the bottom and weighs 2.8 lbs each. The wooden dowels are 1.5" thick and they have a smooth surface. Comes with the screws, washers, and hex key. I'm not sure what the weight limit is, but I'm 5'9" and weight 170, there is no bowing or flexing. Went with the pink because it was the cheaper option of the two.
