The Energy Detective Spyder 60 Current Transformers, 8-60 Amp

this thing rocks for keeping track of home power use. Nothing else out there like this.EDITED: I can no longer recommend anything from The Energy Detective. My Spyder has failed and trying to work with customer service has been awful. Days to a week between responses, most recently I was told 'your setup of the Spyder is wrong" but when I reviewed the manual and found it correct asked for specifics and received no clarification. Most recently they asked for logs, I sent the logs, no response yet. I've spent almost a month troubleshooting these issues. So I have a fairly expensive paperweight at this moment with no clear sign of resolution from TED and no sign they are going to do the right thing. Very frustrating. Anyone know of a reliable alternate solution?Spyder was returned, one of the channels is now reading 8000 watts for no reason with no CTs moved/changed. No way to fix, so clear replacement Spyder is bad. Now had second MTU fail after less than 1 year.Worthless.Addendum: TED supported their product by giving me my money back....Not a real fix but at least I got my dollars returned.

At 60 amps apiece, you can almost monitor service panels. There was a listing for a Spyder with 4 60 and 4 200 which would be good except the TED Pro- Lite is PLC which is not effective for 3-phase 200 A panels, because the panels would each require an ECC connected to the plugs/areas associated with that panel.

expensive but works great and has me getting a true handle on my electrical issues that Im working with. helped me to track down the big costs in the house. now to implement a fix!~

Love having detailed monitoring on individual circuits

Having this spyder along with the "master", I am able to pinpoint what appliances are using up all our energy. Make us more conscious on how much we use every day.
