All in all a very smart buy in my opinion and I will definitely be ...
At first when I got this product I had a slight heart attack. My last USB hub needed an external power supply to run multiple USB 3.0s into my laptop and this one does not come with that. However I said "What the heck let's try it." So far it works perfectly.I can plug in my mouse, keyboard and Blue Snowball Mic into this all at the same time and they all function correctly and perfectly.I was also worried about having blue LED lights to indicate whether the individual USB ports are powered or not. I tend to stay away from blue LED as it hurts my eyes. However the lights, while noticeable at a glance are no where near enough to harm my optics nor illuminate a dark room so yay for that. The one and only down side I'd say this product has is the length of the actual cord that goes into your computer which is not long. All in all a very smart buy in my opinion and I will definitely be recommend this product to whoever is interested.

Either a piece of engineering junk or a lemon
Lots of trouble with this hub. Intermittent reliability. One thumb drive will work on it and another one won't. An older external 2.0 WD hard drive is recognized and powered while a newer 3.0 WD passport isn't recognized at all. I've changed cables and even updated my 3.0 card from an unpowered one to one with direct power to the PS. Everything works for a while and all of a sudden it doesn't. As soon as I can get a new different hub, this one is going to be swinging from a tree limb while I play fast draw with my .357.

USB 3 quad hub
This item is currently set up in my wife's system (an all-in-one) and is giving excellent service. No problems to report as of this date.

Didn't work on my HP laptops
I ordered two for my HP Pavilion and HP Notebook and neither worked on either of my computers. Very disappointing.

Harmonious share, individual reset
This hub's - provided at a significant discount as a 'for review' item - claim to fame is the individual on/off switches for each of the 4 USB ports and the charging port. This may prove useful under certain circumstances.I have 6 devices attached to a USB hub that's plugged into a USB 3.0 port on my laptop's docking station and they seem to coexist peacefully most of the time but, every now and then, perhaps once in a blue moon, one of the devices needs a reset. That hub has a 'reset all' button and it does the trick because everything is reconnects within seconds but it could be convenient to be able to rest just the misbehaving device rather than reset them all. More interestingly, if security is a concern and one keeps confidential information on a USB attached HDD, then it's good to be able to cut off the datastream from that drive without actually turning it off when not needed. So, the individual switches could be a good thing under some very specific circumstances. The on/off switches aside, a 4-port USB hub plus a charging should be adequate for most users most of the time. The body appears to be good quality plastic. I noticed what appears to be a small round port that could be use to provide additional DC power but it's not documented anywhere so I'm not sure what it's 4. As for the claim of ultra-fast speeds and so on... yes, USB 3.0 is fast but if you split your computer's USB port into 4 you also split the bandwidth so, depending on what's plugged in, you may or may not want to move the more bandwidth-hungry devices such as HDDs and definitely Wi-Fi adapters to their dedicated ports, plugged directly into your computer but things such as mice and keyboards and drawing pads and even speakers should have no issues sharing the available bandwidth.

Basic non-powered hub that works well
This is an inexpensive non-powered hub that has individual power switches for each port, a feature not usually found at this price point. For me, that's a plus since there are times I want to disconnect a device without having to unplug it. The switch makes that simple. It's also very handy to have on the charge port so you can stop the attached device from charging without having to unplug it.The build quality is on par with the price point. It's lightweight plastic but all the ports are firmly attached, and the connection cable is fairly stout. The port on/off switches are small but work fine, and have a small LED light to indicate operational status. This won't survive getting knocked around a lot, but for normal use the build quality is more than good enough.Zero problems installing it (simple plug and play on a Win machine), and have not had any problems with connections (use it with thumb drives, printers, and WiFi adapters). For the price, it's a good value and a good performer. Well worth considering if you're looking for a simple, non-powered hub.[Sample provided for review]
