RLB XL UPGRADED Multi-Purpose Travel Diaper Backpack with Changing Pad (blue)

UPDATED October 2016After the first backpack broke, the company contacted me and offered the new upgraded backpack. We've used this backpack (the black one) for several weeks and it seems sturdy. It also comes with a nice changing pad and a internal pocket in the main pocket that is good for personal items. We have three kids, so we need a bag that can carry stuff for a 5-year-old, 3-year-old and 4-month-old. This does that job and more. It's roomy and gender neutral, which means my husband has no issues carrying it. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a diaper backpack. The price is pretty fair as well.FIRST REVIEW May 2016This was such a great bag until it wasn't. We've been using it for less than two months and the fabric on the bottom corner of the bag has already worn away causing a piece of the plastic piping to come out and poke the wearer in the back. It's so uncomfortable that it makes it unwearable. We're so disappointed because the bag itself is great. Unfortunately, the craftsmanship failed.

I wish I had this sooner!! It took me about 7 months to break the diaper bag we got from our baby shower. It was a large diaper bag which I easily overstuffed causing the zipper to break. After reading the reviews on here I decided to give this diaper bag a try. It's huge! I took everything out of the busted diaper bag and only filled this one half way. Also I love that it is a back pack. So much smarter when you are carrying a car seat and your purse. My only complaint and it was hard to find one- but some of the side pockets are difficult to zipper up. You need to try to straighten out the sides to get it to zipper. Now this may be because it is new and hasn't been used that much. But it wouldn't deter me from buying this again. Hopefully it holds up over time.

Just received this product and so far, so good. It is VERY spacious and has a lot of room for all the essentials.I give it 4 stars because I feel the zippers/seams will not last very long. They don't look sturdy at all. I really hope I am wrong about this because I like the bag. However, I packed it to its full capacity and had to pay extra attention to the way I zipped it closed because I am honestly concerned the zipper/seams may tear at any time. This talks about the feel of the product's build/quality. I compare it to a different High Sierra backpack I have and it feels very different. The fabric around the zipper is thicker and has a sturdier feel. The zipper itself on the High Sierra is thicker and looks like it can resist a lot (and it has for many years), unlike the RLB's. My guess is that if you don't fill this bag to its fullest capacity, it will last for a long time.However, I liked the design very much. It has very deep pockets that will fit almost anything you throw at it that you need to pack. The compartments are well thought out and convenient. The double insulated pockets are pretty good too! The padded back part provides enough cushion to carry this comfortably.I will give the benefit of the doubt and will have to revisit this post in about 2 months to see if it still survives. If so, I'll bump it to 5 stars. But since I have my doubts, I'll have to keep this a 4-star product for now.

This backpack is VERY big. I bought it to bring as a carry-on & it held all my baby's food, snacks, formula (four 8 ounce bottles prepared), diapers, wipes, extra clothes, toys, & books as well as my wallet, tablet, cellphone and a baby blanket. It took me awhile to figure out how to organize things in it on the first leg of the trip, but I had it figured out by the flight home. It fit snugly under the seat in front of me, which was great for easy access. The changing pad included inside isn't super high quality but it worked absolutely fine on the teeny tiny airplane bathroom changing table.

We purchased this bag because we were looking for something with a lot of space to use as a carry on for the plane. We tend to be over-packers and this bag was amazing. It served us very well for the plane ride and our week-long vacation where we walked everywhere we went. This backpack was the only thing we carried (aside from our child!) when we were out and about. We were able to fit a dozen diapers, a full package of wipes (the 70-some count), a 32 oz container of formula, bottles, sippy cups, blankets, extra clothes, snacks, our own wallets and cell phones, and baby jackets + hats plus other miscellaneous items. We still had room to spare and according to my husband, the bag wasn't uncomfortable to wear all day long. The changing pad that comes with it is quite functional - thin enough to hand wash it at night and have it dried by morning, but sturdy enough to do the job. We searched a long time to find a bag big enough to fit everything we wanted to carry, but also comfortable and functional. We found it! It's become the only diaper bag we use.

size is great, and pocket configuration is pretty good. Those 2 small pockets on the front are fairly tiny, though. You put a wallet and cell phone in there, and that's about full. The main compartment is huge, and the side pockets are a pretty good size for diapers, small blankets, and bottles. The downside is that the zipper quality seems pretty bad, and the straps don't seem too great either. But I just got the product, perhaps they'll stand the test of time better than expected. Out of the box, I give 4 stars. If quality stands up as I fear, I'll update this to 3 stars; if I get surprised and quality proves reliable long-term, I'd put it at 4.5 stars.
