Replacement Carburetor Carb For Honda GX390 Replaces 16100-ZF6-V01

It went on easily and brought back memories because the machine ran just like the day I bought it. The power was back! Bought this to replace the carb on a GX390 on a 7kw PowerFast generator. It is not an exact replacement, lacking the sediment bowl attached to the bottom of the fuel switch, but that's a non issue, just placed an inline fuel filter in the line coming from the tank. I was dreading having to clean the gunk out of the old carb so decided to give this one a try for $13.55. Bolted it on and bingo, generator runs like a champ. I'm so impressed that I will purchase another one just to have on hand.The problem with generator fuel systems is the ethanol. Even though I run the carb dry after each use, you almost never run the tank dry. Even adding fuel stabilizer only helps to some extent. Eventually you will end up with a gummed-up fuel system. Bad news when trying to start a generator while holding a flashlight in your teeth at 11 o'clock at night. That's when a brand new carb just waiting to be bolted on is well worth $13.55

Purchased this carburator for my generator. It fit perfectly and engine started on first pull. Maybe a cheap substitute for the real thing. But it works.

So far, so good. I didn't think I could do this myself but it took me 15 minutes to replace the bad original. I used my phone to photograph half a dozen steps so I knew where things went and it was breeze. Didn't have to reference the phone photos. My pressure washer runs more powerful than before, too. Maybe it's my imagination. Very easy to replace. Good price, a little over $20 plus shipping, made in china. The original was about $80 and made in China, so whats the point???

Carb fit the engine, but it is not reliable. Engine starts easily, but does in about 10 seconds or so. Won't re-start without 40 or 50 pulls, (maybe not even then). Let the engine set for some hours, and it will again start on first pull, but quit, as if it ran out of gas. Tank and filter are claen, and gas is fresh. Carb cannot be adjusted to proper mixture, even when engine does stay running. The adjust screw can be anywhere from all the way in, to all the way out at the end of the threads, and it has no affect.

Perfect replacement for the carb on my older Honda powered generator. This is slightly different from the original in that the original has a small drainable fuel bowl on the fuel shut off valve and this one does not have the fuel bowl. It appears to be just a valve before the float bowl.Rega regardless, the carburetor works perfectly on the generator and is a simple swap.

I received this item in the two days as advertised, it worked perfectly with no adjustment needed, very simple to put on and, it was cheaper than a rebuild kit!
