Premium Sichuan Peppercorns, 2.0 oz, Grade AAA Szechuan Peppercorns, Less Seeds

These are WAY better than the Joyce Chen brand I usually get at the grocery store. I will definitely buy these again - though the bag is so big It is going to last quite a while. I use these peppercorns (my secret ingredient) for home-made corned beef instead of the juniper berries which many recipes call for. I also use them for fermented mustard greens (brined Korean awesomeness) and "pickled everything" (carrots, jalapeños, onions, peppers) that I serve on tacos. This product smells and tastes fantastic, I couldn't believe it when I opened the bag. I guess I've been using Joyce Chen for so long I never figured there might me something better out there. I'm a very happy customer, thanks!

I've never had these before so my first experience was kind of weird with the numbness it causes. After a month, I'm used to that feeling and the first is just amazing in my chili oil!

Fantastic peppercorns. No need to pick through and remove all the little black seeds. So it’s worth paying more than some of the less expensive ones.

Loved the aroma when this grounded chilli gets mixed with hot oil during the prep!

Authentic flavor,, just a little expensive than stor prices,, but also, hard to find it in stores .. I'll buy it again...

Reading other reviews of the various Szechuan peppers, I found that there was concern as to the percentage of sticks, price and the freshness of the product. I purchased this brand due to positive reviews and found that the product was packaged in self sealing bag to maintain freshness, there were few sticks / mostly peppercorns and the taste was strong enough that I am cutting back on the volume when making my favorite Mapo dish.

Absolutely as advertised! Our mouths were totally numb after our chicken Sichuan! Loved the taste!

The aroma itself just takes you some where else, gives food a lovely taste.
