Swedish Fairy Tales

bought this a while ago and just got it out to read some of the stories and was surprised to see all the marks, writing and drawings some child -previous owner? put in the book. Book is in overall good shape, cover and pages intact, but was much more drawn in that the "good" rating would indicate to me. will still enjoy book, and even laugh at some of the monster drawings done in the book, but it would not be a copy i would give as a gift as i had intended.book arrived on time and was mailed securely.

Great book for my wife’s collection, one problem was the packaging could have been better the corner of it was bent a little.

Love the lore. Love the stories. BUT- the picture quality- that you WANTED to have is ZERO! The art work is what I wanted to see and sadly it fell short.

Honestly the illustrations are better than the stories. A library book more than one to own.

The book itself is fine, tales and images great. But what I could not understand is that the book which I got has only 21 tales when description on the back side tells that it must have 29 tales including one named "The Giant Who slept for 10000 years", which is not in the content. So I am a little bit confused what I got is the fake or just defective good. Waiting comment from the seller. Also cover of the book is a little damaged, but it is not a problem comparing to the missing 8 tales.

The work of Bauer all together with the takes of Sweden is perfect.

I bought this book for all of my neices and nephews and they all love it! It is full of the stories I grew up with and keeps us in touch with our Swedish roots.

Wife says the colours seem a bit washed out. She has seen quality prints of these illustrations and these seem to have lost their lustre during the print process.
