Worked great in the beginning but not at all now
It worked great to begin with. I relocated and placed it back in its original box during the move...now it doesn’t work at all. Us like to try and replace the remote control to see if that’s the problem, but do not see a link to contact the seller to do so.

My review of the Yujin EX500
My review of Yujin EX500 Vacuum Cleaner. The Yujin EX500 Tracking and Navigation system sounded so good to me but left me disappointed with it.I experienced two problems with the EX500 .1. Did not return to the Charging Station.2. Has a difficult time climbing the Transition strip between our Laminate floors and the Linoleum floors. The Good:Vacuums good in the areas it did clean and runs quiet.Only gets stuck on the Laminate Transition Strips. Did not get stuck under any of our furniture. It is smart enough that when it goes under a dining room chair it can work itself back and forth and around to get out from under the chair. The Bad:Does not return to the charging station.Has a very hard time climbing the 5/8" Laminate Transition strip between our Laminate and Linoleum floors. It makes repeated tries to climb the strip in different places. No matter where I am in the house I can hear the loud grinding of the wheels on the transition strip as it tries to climb up the strip.Eventually after much backing up and moving around it does make it up the transition strip (all but 1 time). The transition strip is sloped (curved) on the linoleum side of the strip. Most of the floors in our house are Laminate with the exception of the Kitchen, Laundry Room and two Bathrooms that are Linoleum. Our house is an open floor plan with the Family Room, Dining Room and Kitchen all basically one room. Two bedrooms, Two baths and the Home Office.Day 1. Received the EX500 (The Bot) and put it on the Charging Station to charge overnight. The charging Station is located in the South end of our house in our home office and about mid point on the wall that runs North and South with more then the required clearance on each side and in front of the EX500.The EX500 when on the charging station is facing West.Day 2 run number 1EX500 settings are on Automatic and Climb. The EX500 backs out of the charging station and turns 180 and degrees and starts the cleaning grid that runs East and West and moves down the grid to the North which is the far end of the house. At the start of the cleaning cycle the EX500 did not clean South of the charger in the office as it moved through the house. When the bot encounters a obstacle it cleans three sides of the obstacle but not the entire area of the blocked side of the obstacle. Example: In the kitchen there is an Island Counter. The bot went into the kitchen along a wall and moving E and W it went back and forth on three sides of the counter. On the blocked side it did not clean from the counter all the way into the Dining room. Same is true of all blocked areas in other rooms on the N bound E W cleaning grid.It took the bot 55 minutes (bot clock) to clean from the charging station to the far N wall in the Master Bedroom. At this point the bot started working its way back S towards the cleaning station. It Did start cleaning the missed areas in the Master Bedroom. At 60 minutes as it moved into the Family room the Battery status indicator changed from green to yellow but the bot continued cleaning. At this point I stopped following it around (1 hour). I next found it in the office 3' short of the charging station with the battery dead. I picked it up and put it on the charger. When fully charged it did not continue the cleaning cycle.Day 3 run number 2On Automatic and Climb.Started the cleaning cycle. It ran the same E and W and moving N grid pattern.I did try putting a throw rug on the linoleum side of the bathroom doorway with the rug touching the laminate transition strip. Even though the rug is higher then the strip the bot could climb on the rug and cross the transition strip as long as all of the wheels were on the rug.At 96 minutes the bot came back into the office with the battery indicator on yellow. It continued cleaning the office N of the charging station and it could see the charger but left the room after 4 minutes of cleaning and went into the hall and nearby bedroom for the second time and continued cleaning in that room. I found it stopped with the battery dead in the bedroom and picked it up and carried it to the charger. Again when fully charged it did not leave the charger.Day 4 run number 3On Automatic and Climb.Used this as a test run to test the IR light on the Charger and to see what the bot would do.Removed two chairs from the office room. Now only 2 desks, file cabinets and book shelves in the room.Closed the office room door confining the bot to clean just the office. I sat on top of a desk and started the bot cleaning. The bot left the charger and started the cleaning grid E and W and moving N. After cleaning completely N of the charger it did move back S and clean all of the area S of the first grid line out of the charger. AND after 6 minutes it cleaned 100% of the office floor and the bot returned back to the charger. To me this test proves that the EX500 does clean all of the areas of at least one room and can return to the charger indicating the charger IR light is functioning.Summary.The EX500 cleaning run number 1 has made it back to within 3' of the charger before the battery died. The EX500 cleaning run number 2 with 96 minutes of cleaning with the battery indicator on yellow and it was in front of the charger and left the room to continue cleaning in a nearby room without going to the charger. The EX500 cleaning run number 3 test run cleaned one room 100% and navigated back to the charger. Thanks to Amazon I was able to return the EX500 for a full refund. My Amazon rating is five stars.

The hamper for the dust already seems loose and this ...
The hamper for the dust already seems loose and this causes the machine to hop across the floor or bounces and I can find no way to contact the manufacture for any help. All of there on-line info seems to come out of Korea with only new sales info available. The only way I knew the hamper was the cause of the bouncing, is that I bought another exact model for someone as a gift and it didn't work at all. They gave it back to me so I had the hamper from it to stick in the4 two month old model. Bought the gift item off eBay as NEW which i will never do again, once was enough. No way to get any help from eBay on false or fraudulent sales..

Very good, but not fail safe..
The unit is quiet, and for the most part does a good job navigating around furniture and covers rooms well. It seemingly does have a little trouble navigating between a number of interconnected rooms, why we close off, and let it take only one room at a time. The dust bin intake seemingly has a propensity to clog up rather easily. One early morning when it still was a bit darkish, the unit did not detect the staircase to the lower level and fell down some 10', in the process braking off a small plastic "ear" on the dust bin, thus rendering the unit inoperable, and displaying a fault code afterwards. The vendor recommended returning the unit, and Amazon promptly credited the purchase price. Fine service. We will be buying the same unit again very soon.

Better & less expensive than the Roomba
We have 6 long haired dogs & 3 cats. I see reviews where people say this vacuum doesn't work...they are crazy. It does work better and the battery lasts longer on hard surfaces like wood or tile, but it works very well on carpet too (the battery just runs down faster because it has to work harder). We also have no issue with it going from wood to rug and back or from the wood to the carpet in our bedroom. The unit is quiet, and for the most part does a good job navigating around furniture and covers rooms well. It is shorter in height so it doesn't get stuck under cabinets or furniture like other brands we have tried. It does have a little trouble navigating between separated rooms - like a bedroom off our great room, so we usually just close the door and let it clean just our great room/dining room/kitchen area (`1,000 sq ft). It runs for 90 mins to 2 hours typically before going back to base. The we only have to empty the dust bin & clean the rotary brush once per week even with all of our pets being inside 80% of the time. It will occasionally get "lost" trying to return to the docking station and run out of battery, but that is a very small inconvenience compared to what you get with this unit. We had the older version - iClebo Arte & just bought two of these to replace it we like them so much. Now we have one for upstairs and one for down. They run automatically everyday and we have very little to do with it.

I love him so much
I love him so much, I named him Charlie. If there was actually a mopping feature I would give 25 stars. Save your money on the other irobots. This little guy keeps up with 4 bulldogs worth of hair.
