Solid construction with decent power for a hub-motor, 18.7 lbs, 28 km range
The media could not be loaded. Update -I started testing range and have been able to get 28. 27, and 26 km on a full charge. I'm 180 lb and don't go full throttle but also tend to go at least 25-30 kph so not that slow. I"m trying to be a bit careful about power usage but definitely not hypermiling.. I was able to get about 24-25 km before the low battery warning came on, also with a noticeable drop in top power. It went another 4 km before all power shut off. Fortunately I planned it so that it was mostly downhill on the way home. The neighborhood has a few small hills, about 15-20 feet rise/fallConnectivity and braking have been flawless - no issues with remote at all. I do notice that when on full throttle, there is a slight blip in power when I hit hard cracks in pavement. I assume that the jolt is interrupting the position sensor on the motor or something like that so the controller cuts power for a fraction of a second.I rode a skateboard back in the 80's, took a break for several decades and started up with a longboard a few years ago. Hub motors are much quieter and can allow you to cruise and even kick without the motors engaged, compared to belt motors. The areas I ride tend to be public paths, so you get a bit of stink-eye already being on a board, and a loud electric board is going to be that much more obtrusive. The downside is that until recently, hub motors didn’t have much torque so acceleration and hill climbing performance was poor. That's definitely not the case with the H20.Power / Hills / Acceleration---- The listing says it has two 600 watt motors while Teamgee’s site says it’s two 540 watt motors. The owners manual calls this the H2 and says two 480 watt motors with 6 Nm of torque each. I’m assuming the owners manual is bad since there’s other missing info for the H20. Either way, on a small hill near me I was able to sustain 30 kph / 19 mph while on the steepest hill in my neighborhood ( 5.5 degrees = 10 % grade) I was able to maintain 20 kph (13 mph) On a flat with a tailwind I was able to hit 40 kph (25 mph) while going in the other direction I only hit 32 kph (20mph) The 26 mph is reasonable as a top speed as long as you have a decent tailwind or a slight downhill. All of these measurements were with the H+ setting using the remote’s speedometer. I had compared it earlier to the GPS speed on my phone and was able to verify it’s accuracy (as much as you can going 20 mph comparing the two!)Board / Carving---- The board has an excellent profile but is very stiff. The “W” curve is comfortable and cradles your feet just ahead and behind the trucks. I would have preferred a bit more flex, as the trucks were also cranked down hard. I suspect it's to make the board more stable at speed. I loosened the trucks at least a couple of full rotations front and back (Remember to always have your rear trucks a touch tighter than the front to prevent speed wobble) so now I can easily carve 6-8 meter radius turns. Not sure that I will loosen them any more if I want to be able to go fast with confidence.Remote----The controller is small and intuitive. Within a few minutes you stop thinking about it, you just do. The 4 speed profiles are easy to change, though the owners manual is missing info on how to change the braking profiles for this controller (you hold the throttle in brake and then press the speed change button). Braking profile 3 is pretty aggressive, 4 really takes effort to stay on the board when it kicks in. Unlike the throttle, which is proportional, the brake is either on or off. After about 20 miles on the board I’m OK with any of the braking speeds, but I’ve been leaving it on 2. Cruise control is really nice when you find a decent piece of pavement – you can leave it on a speed and just focus on carving. Touch the throttle at all and the cruise goes away. It takes a couple of tries to get it to engage – you have to release the throttle just as you press the cruise button.Portability ----This board is not quite as long as my regular longboard, but the weight makes it seem far bulkier when carrying it. (My 42" longboard is only 7#) Interestingly, the board is actually lighter (18.7 lbs) than the listing claims (21 lbs) There is a 9.6 AH battery option so perhaps that is the 21 lbs. A cutout handle would be nice – there’s definitely enough structure in the board for it. Perhaps I’ll carefully cut out a slot if I can make sure there isn’t any wiring.Quality ---Build fit and finish is excellent, battery and ESC enclosures appear to be high quality and solid. Wires are hidden. Grip tape was nearly perfect – perhaps 1-2 mm misaligned on the nose – most people probably wouldn’t have noticed. One issue is that the grip tape is covering the screw heads so if you want to do anything you’re going to have to go digging. The charging port cover is hard plastic, a rubber cover would have been nicer.

Amazing at first, breaking down one month later.
5 week update: I went online and other users have said to add a light coat of grease on the inside of the wheel. So I tried that and the squeaks went away for about a week and has now returned. I tried contacting Team Gee via email and their Live chat. Both were a no go. Nobody has responded to my email and the Live Chat is so they can advertise a sale and no response from the operator.Based on their lack of response, I’m changing my rating to 1 star. These boards are too expensive if they are only going to last one months. And their customer service is sorry at best.Update: I’ve ridden this board daily for almost a month now and the drive wheels have developed a chirping sound that’s totally noticeable at slower speeds. I’m hoping it goes away soon because it’s really annoying. And on today’s ride, the drive wheel jerked a couple times, like I lightly applied the brakes. I hope this isn’t the beginnings of a failing motor.Amazing! That pretty much sums up how much fun it is to ride this board. First off, it's literally been decades since I rode a skateboard and I only bought this to keep up with my daughter while she scooters... so I thought. I've only had it for two days and in that short time, it's completely tipped the fun scale to max. If anyone even has a small inkling about whether they should buy a eskateboard or not, then you need this board. I pondered it for about a year before finally buying one and my only regret it that I didn't do it sooner.I chose the TeamGee H20 for a few of reasons. 1) it was the most affordable board with a decent reputation, 2) it represented a good value when comparing dollars to power, and 3) styling. It's got plenty of power and so far, I'm totally happy cruising at the medium power (about 17mph). I haven't mustered the minerals to push it to H speed yet. Braking is solid so you do have to remember to lean back alittle when braking because you are going to stop pretty quickly until you get used to the throttle/brake lever. To give you an idea, I've only ridden my TeamGee H20 about 3miles total and have already gotten used to the controls and feel comfortable riding on the streets. In fact, I ran all my errands today using this board which included 3 miles of riding in the bike lane on major streets.I know I'm supposed to included some things I didn't like about the board so... being nit picky, here it is. 1) The board feels heavy. I've watched several Youtube video where they say the board feels really light so that's what I was expecting. Well, this is my first eskateboard and light wasn't my first impression. My scale shows the weight to be 18.2lbs so it's not heavy per say, but just design of skateboards in general isn't the most balanced so it makes it feel heavier than it is. 2) The throttle/brake lever has a short throw so in the beginning it's going to be alittle sketchier than a remote with a longer throw, but like I mentioned earlier, you get used to it fairly quickly.Final thoughts - just buy it already. It's definitely going down as one of my favorite toy purchases of all time. As a bonus, if you snowboard, this is a way to enjoy the feeling you get carving, only you can get it anytime of the year. Yes, it's that rad.

Great board, just wasn't what I was trying to order.
This skateboard is amazing. Here's a few notes after buying it and using it for over a month:1) I noticed that the remote would not connect with the board/random disconnection if switching modes. How to fix this: turn on your board first, then your remote. Then press your toggle to move. If it moves, it's good. Do not use break (backward) as your toggle. Otherwise, you will not have any acceleration.2) This board will go fast, so be prepared. Max speed I got with this board is 40km with no wind. 35km with wind max. Going up hill, you might get 15km max (NYC has many hills).3) Going up hills will consume your range. So be careful with hills (FYI, this board is not the 40km range. This is a 25-30km range board so you must go to their website to get the 40km one, which I had to remove a star for not clarifying it when I first brought it)4) the range on this board is 16 - 18 miles. Less if you go up hills (uses a lot of power)Overall: buy this if you're looking for a good beginners board. This will not disappoint, especially with that price range. I do recommend going to teamgee.com. the price there is way better. I've gotten many good conversations with other electric skateboard users around NYC. And having this makes you a part of that.No regrets buying this. But do use the website for the 25 miles one.
