In this French adventure, two Parisian street kids embark upon a strange journey to Grenoble in the back of a delivery truck. One of the lads is an adolescent Spanish graffiti artist while the other is an 11-year-old black rapper. Once there, the young boy is delighted to see his first snowfall. The two steal a car and discover an old man sleeping in the back. The boys then discover, that he is not a man at all, but an enigmatic forest spirit who teaches them important lessons about nature and life. This was the last film of classic French actor Yves Montand, who died of heart failure (as did his character in the film) during the shooting in 1991.

Touching and sweet
This movie had me laughing, then crying. Olivier Martinez is fun to watch, and the actor who plays the young boy is charming and believable. Yves Montand didn't quite pull off the "enigmatic forest spirit" thing, however, and the movie does have some problematic flaws. (Why are they taking those gnome things to Grenoble?) Enjoyable over all.

Not the best Beneix ,certainly not at the level of Diva,but it has this ironic poesy that keep you watching ,remarkable interpretation by Olivier Martinez young and an aging Yves Montand ,the other young actor steal the show

Didn't care for this movie because it made no sense and did not have a good storyline. You are left wondering what are they doing and what is it really about. The only good thing about this movie is it has Olivier Martinez in it. He's a great actor and should not be in this movie.

Yves last performance
This is Yve Montands 'swan song' and what a beautiful film to end your career. Funny, sad,full of beauty.I do not want to say too much as it would spoil this fabulous film.Highly recommended.English subtitles.

Très beau coffret comprenant 2 DVD ( film+bonus ). Yves MONTAND passe le flambeau à la nouvelle génération dans un conte moderne. Il s'agit du dernier film de MONTAND.

une histoire originale, de belles images, un beau jeu d'acteurs, une bonne mise en scène, un son dolby stéréo de bonne qualité au vu du codage. Pour le son au moins, J'attends le blu ray avec impatience en espérant un format audio DTS 5.1 hd master audio.
