It is a written to be a 20 week course so definitely it can be stretched, especially if you can travel and spend time in the outdoor to practice on a photo shoot project. We do not have a DSLR camera but a point and shoot. I would highly recommend this book. At the end of each chapter, there is a short review and questions. They highly encourage you practice each function and be familiar with the symbols and the meanings. They teach what functions are best at what type of settings and when to use them. Great book!
