I had very persistent but not deep acne as a teen and young adult. After that, I enjoyed a period of relatively clear skin. Enter middle age, and acne hell. As I entered peri-menopause, my skin went crazy. All of the sudden I had deep cystic acne that would not heal. I tried prescription, over the counter, and natural products. Many products helped some, but none left me with clear skin. I tried Eclipse after scouring Amazon for anything different, something I had not yet tried. I have been using this product faithfully after cleansing twice a day for one month. My skin is clear for the first time in years. My pores appear smaller, my skin is smoother and the texture has improved. I suffered for years, dying of embarrassment to have such severe acne at my age (I am 54). I am purchasing a second bottle to see how my teenage son does with it. It's a relatively small investment considering the price of some of the products out there, and I am so glad I tried one more product! It does smell faintly of cloves, but I find the smell pleasant. It is non-greasy, absorbs easily, and does not leave a residue on the surface of your skin.

The product says it's mild enough to use every day, which I'm sure it is. I, however, was looking for a strong spot treatment, which this is not. It also has a really odd smell, I don't exactly know how to describe it (burnt hair?). I will continue to use it daily, but will also be looking for an alternative product for spot treatment.

I have waited five months to write this review and my final conclusion is: don't count on this stuff to actually help.I get cystic acne about a week before ovulation and a few days before my monthly. Cystic acne is usually if not always caused by a hormonal imbalance. It comes from within, so putting this stuff on top of one and praying to god it will save the day is moot. I know, because I've been doing that for the past five months to no avail. Every single cyst was exactly the same or worse. Why? Because the only way to address hormonal cystic zits is through your diet and exercise. Last month, I cut out gluten and dairy, and those candy cravings- and wouldn't you know it. No new acne cysts cropping up. This month, overly confident, I had the cheese i craved, although in moderation (to be safe) one mini chocolate ornament, and a bagel that was not gluten free. The next morning right on time, half a cystic zit cropped up. Half because I didn't go crazy with the food but I still did it and it sent my hormones off.This solution has witch hazel in it which is probably great for minor pimples. That's why it stings a little too, making ya think it's working. But if you don't change your diet, just plan on accumulating more and more acne cyst scars like I have before I finally accepted the truth: just as some people gain weight easily and have to try a little harder not to be fat, some people get cystic acne and have to eat a little cleaner to keep their skin settled. For now, I cover 5-7 different purple scars from the past several months of trusting this solution, when it was never and will never be the answer for any of you. Change from within.

I had bought this based on positive product reviews. I have to say I would give this zero stars if I could as this gave me the worst breakout I have ever experienced. I have had horrible cystic acne since using this product and it has also caused quite a bit of scarring. I would not recommend.

Smells good, but that's about it. Was not impressed. Will not buy again.

If you have this type of acne or boils, this is the most amazing product. Not only does it dry out the acne in a day or two, it has helped the ones coming up before they even start. I suffered with mild acne my whole life, as I'm entering menopause I have found that most of my problem isn't regular acne anymore. If you get the cyst and boils, you want this product. It takes only a squirt or two for your entire face. not sticky, no smell really and my face stays shine free all day. Never thought my skin could look this great. beats all the other big names by a mile. Most of those are not made for cyst or boils. I highly recommend this product and will continue to use it. don't let the price throw you off, it takes very little and works great. You wont be disappointed.

The product is good enough, It works with cystic acne. But it does not work for 1 night. I needed three days to see visible results.

I haven't really seen much of a difference in my acne since using it as directed. Many of the reviews I read talked about how this stuff helped with cystic acne and how you could see results within a few days. Wish I could say the same, but every time I put it on lately all I can think is that I'm putting snake oil on my face.All this aside, it arrived quickly after I ordered it, so that's something good.
