Review: Excelent book to understand this technology - Is an excellent book, a very good reading to who is starting with Siemens PLC technology and also to who already know it. I purchased also the other book of some authors, with the Orange cover: Siemens Step 7 (TIA Portal) Programming Practical Approach (https://www.desertcart.com/Siemens-Portal-Programming-Practical-Approach/dp/1515220540/ref=pd_cp_14_1?ie=UTF8&refRID=WSDHZH7N8K92YZYDWW6Q) and didn't see any difference between both, they are the same book with the same amount of pages and the same chapters starting at the ame page, the difference is that one is a little bit more expensive than the other. I have two concerns about both books: 1) the lack of a remissive index at the end of the book should help to find similar items through the book. 2) at the end of each chapter you will find a quiz about the specific chapter. At the end of the book, you will find all the answers of those quizzes but only for the even questions, the odd ones aren't present. Strange isn't. But despite those two comments I recumbent the book.
Review: one must have a good understanding of S7 by reading Step 7 in 7 ... - one must have a good understanding of S7 by reading Step 7 in 7 steps and it sister book Step 7 programing because TIA Portal use Step 7 and WinCC in it. But Programming Siemens Step 7 (TIA Portal) has new commands to be learn and is a must have book
