Holds down a J-3
I bought this for my Piper J-3 Cub and works great for going to grass strips when there aren't any tie-downs. Setup and tear down are easy as well. The heads on the stakes could be of a better quality though in my opinion. I took the liberty of TIG welding them to beef them up. Overall it’s a great setup!!

These are excellent, durable tie downs
These are excellent, durable tie downs. I have several events in yarded areas where I must provide shade cover with 10 x 20 foot tents. Many times during the year, it is very to get traditional auger tie downs in the ground. These are very easy to spread out and to drive the spikes in the ground with just a nail hammer; and they are very easy to remove when your tear down. Recommend you try one; but be prepared to go back after the other three so you have a total of 4. Plus, they will be available for any tie-down application.

What's not to like?
This Claw system held my RV-7 down without any issues for 3 nights of storms with strong winds at Oshkosh this year (2019). No issues whatsoever. I pushed the spikes into the damp ground with my shoe sole and left the 3/4 lb hammer at home. Removal takes a little effort but it was easy enough without their clever hammer. Pricey but hey... you buy it once!

Great Product
These things work GREAT! They were easy to deploy and held good. I purchased this kit for my RV using 2 for the awning and one for my satellite dish. My ONLY concern would be how well these would hold up with a side load. Only in that respect do they seem a bit flimsy. Time will tell but I don't expect any issues. For a straight on pull they are great.

Hammer broke the first time I used it.
Hammer is sub-par. The handle broke where it connects to the head the first time I used it. Cheap plastic handle.

The included hammer is useless however
Work well and definitely hold! I had the nail heads welded to additionally reinforce. The factory welding under the head is a little light? Its a weak point anyway. The included hammer is useless however. Toss it out and buy a small hatchet. The hatchet will be slightly heavier and better able to drive the nails while also providing an additional "malfunction tool". Fly safe

Great RV Awning Tie Down
This product is designed to hold airplanes down. I use it to steady my RV awning in high winds. It is very easy to use and it works very well. I especially like the highly visible size, color, and shape which allows others to avoid running into the tie down straps.
