struggled to finish
I’m giving this 3 stars because I did finish it, but I wouldn’t recommend this book to others. There were too many secondary characters, too many subplots and it was frankly boring in places. This was my first Nancy Bush book and I won’t be buying any more.

Good book
Hard to follow in the beginning, to many characters for me to keep them apart but the ending was good.

Definitely not Nancy Bush's best book!
So like a teenagers book. Chatting and speculation between so called friends! No maturity in even the detective. This book not worth reading!

Enjoyed the flow of this book
You know how some books begin with the murder, then 20 chapters of characters, location, summizing who it might be, and then maybe, the last one or two chapters reveals the killer. At least in "hush", we have the murder, then 20 something chapters of people of interest, location, and also more people are getting killed throughout the book, then the big ending of "who is the real killer". It kept me interested to the end.

High school drama carried into adulthood
This story about a group of high school friends, deaths, adulthood, and more deaths, makes one remember what a big deal everything was in high school and how silly it usually seems looking back as an adult. But not for this group.

No depth, no suspese. Repeating ideas.
First, there are too many characters. It seems to me this book was contemplated, but finished in a rush and mailed in.The story is actually not complex. Just the opposite, in fact. Coby and Danner are wanting to reunite after years apart and end up in the same place. They awkwardly and ineffectively investigate the murder of Coby's stepmother who is only a few years older. The seemingly obvious suspect at the center, the disorganized and terribly uneventful investigation reveals nothing really. Every so often Bush comes at you from the killers perspective but it was not engaging and I felt stupid reading it. The terrible job Coby and Danner did by the end where Juliet, the actual killer just spilled everything while holding Coby at gun point almost like the end of an episode of Scooby Doo.The seemingly inexorable stream of characters was left undeveloped. You didn't care about any of them and you couldn't keep track since it was so shallow. A repeating theme in the book was Lucas' girlfriend at the time of his death, Rhianon was killed while hiking. It was revealed anticlimactically in the last page of the book. For as much as this was discussed, it seems the Bush decided she'd forgotten it at the end and just brushed it on. What a waste of time this book was. No effort here. Much effort to read.

great book
Very good book couldn't put it down wanted to get to the end it's a page turner and kept me guessing right up until the end I would def recommend. A little confusing at first with all the characters but after the first few pages I couldn't put it down

Great Read
I read this in one sitting. Couldn't put it down. And while I had surmised most of the story early on, it was well developed and threw in some changes I did not see. I was sad to see the end.

Not bad
I've read a couple of Nancy Bush's books and enjoyed them. This one has a really good storyline and characters however there are multiple storylines mashed together throughout and its a little difficult to remember them all. I thought the end was a tiny wee bit rushed but still a shocker I never saw coming. My biggest complaint is my pet peeve of novels, 3 pages of descriptions of every single place. I know a brief description is required to set the scene but this takes it to a whole different level. I found myself skipping loads of paragraphs to get back to the storyline. All in all though a great plot and decent read.

Nancy Bush once more comes to the top of author list.
Nancy Bush has once more produced a winner. The characters are all believable. They can make you cheer them on or hope that someone recognizes that they should be sent to jail. The book keeps you totally intrigued until the very end. A wonderful new novel in her brilliant style of writing. Loved it.

Hush
Not what I expected. I paid 16.45 for this book and it was not in good shape when I received it. Very disappointed. I threw it out. :(
