Burlap (40 Inch x 10 Yards)

Decent material for a better price than I have found anywhere for this amount of fabric. I would recommend to use it mainly for crafting though, as the burlap sheds easily (it is the nature of the material) and can leave you with a fairly large mess. I found it easy to dye for one of my projects, although there is some shrinkage and distortion of the fabric when using the boiling method with Rit Dye. I recommend measuring a larger amount than you need if you are dying it for something. I ordered a large amount for a number of projects. It cut very easily without having to use fabric specific scissors (I just used the run of the mill adult scissors, I think from Target, that are for everyday use). I also intend on using it for some sewing and painting related projects, since Autumn is upon us and calls for burlap. We will see how it fares with a sewing machine, but so far, hand stitching is fine.I would like to warn anyone that if you are dying the material using the stove method to be mindful of the shedding. It caused a very small amount of smoke as very small pieces fell near the flame. It was not enough to make the detectors sound, but I turned on the fan just to be safe as I did not want to wake the children as they slept. Overall, this is a good product, and I would recommend it over purchasing the small portions repeatedly at craft and hobby stores for projects.

I got this to make a rustic tablecloth for my farmer's market booth. It looks really nice against my baskets and green produce and hides dirt well. This is good burlap and it's real burlap and it's pretty inexpensive for the amount.If you're looking at the negative reviews complaining about a moderate odor, an occasional run in the fabric, a line of greenish stitching at one end, etc - keep in mind that this is real burlap so a lot of that's to be expected. Apparently some people were really looking for a normal cloth material just with a rustic appearance.

I bought this to cover my bulletin boards at school. It was what I expected and looks great---I have 2 lg. ones and still have enough to cover another. So many teachers and others have commented to say how much they like it! I also bought 2 inch Scrabble boarder and Scrabble letters, now all I need are some accessories to highlight the seasonal theme. Only thing to look out for is that the burlap does shed, so have a lint remover or extra shirt when you use it.

I ordered 3 bolts to be used for table runners and bows. I received exactly as ordered, but instead of 3 bolts, they sent me one large bolt with a single roll. I actually loved that so much more, since it allowed me to use the burlap more efficiently. Some other reviews stated that their burlap had a slight odor, but mine was great, no need for airing out. Worked great!

Just received my shipment of ten yards. The color and texture are exactly what I wanted. My only disappointment was that the ten yards were supposed to be shipped wrapped on a bolt to minimize creases and wrinkles, per product description. However, it arrived tightly, although neatly, folded in a box. This material is for a wedding and I didn't really need ten yards, but ordered the additional amount because I knew it would save time and effort if the material was free of creases.

I bought this for a project I am working on. The fabric had a very strong smell of some kind of preservative. I put it in the dryer with dryer sheets and the smell was diminished enough to work with it. I may order this again.

Would give it 5 stars, but like some other reviews, it smells like it was soaked in kerosene. Other than that it was right measurement.

The material is fine, and came as 40in x 10yds, however it did not come on a roll! I even ordered from the Sourcedly link, as they keep commenting, "if you order from us, it comes on a roll". Well, it came folded and now I have to figure out how to flatten it before the wedding. Not a big deal, but frustrating.
