BAR10DER All-in-One Home Bartending Tool - Orange

Fancying myself an amateur mixologist when I saw the Bar10der tool I simply had to have it. If nothing else it would be an interesting conversation piece. When I received it I was surprised by the quality of the product from the packaging all the way to the tool itself. It is substantial and well built. Viewing the pictures online does not do the tool justice. I envisioned receiving something similar to a Swiss army knife in size but the Bar10der is of the right size for the tasks at hand.Before I get to the actual functionality of the Bar10der's tools I have to mention the cool factor. Taking this Bar10der out to mix some drinks for some friends made me feel like that guy from the Dos Equis commercials or James Bond getting a new gadget from Q. The moment my friends saw the tool it was the talk of the party. They asked about it, played around with it and helped me make drinks with it. It was the hit of my little soiree and that alone made the purchase worthwhile.As far as the tools go they are all extremely functional. The two jiggers are easy to use. The bottle opener and corkscrew are self-explanatory and worked fine as did the knife. The stirrer was so cool to use. The strainer worked great too, just pour, donot dump the drink into the glass. The muddler and reamercome out of the tool like a Swiss army knife. I was worried that the back and forth action and up and down actions of using the tool might cause it to retract but the hinge is very sturdy and it held in place. I never did too much zesting before but with the tool right there we tried it out. Easy to use and a lot of fun. Cleanup was easy as I simply washed it in warm water and let it dry.While you may look at the Bar10der and see a novelty gift I have found it to be extremely useful. All of my tools besides my shaker are right in one convenient spot and when I look at all the tools I have bought over the years I have to guess that I have spent well over $100 making the Bar10der a good investment. Cool factor aside the Bar10der was easy to use and there is a lot to say for having every tool conveniently at hand.

My father-in-law is an impossible man to shop for, so when I gave him this for Christmas a couple of years ago I didn't expect much. He uses this tool every day and still tells me all the time how much he loves it. He and my mother-in-law drink old fashioneds and gimlets and this is the tool for the job. The quality it great, too because it is still going strong after daily use for over 2 years.

This thing is HUGE. The picture makes it look like a swiss pocket knife, but in reality, this thing is large (think large flashlight with D-cell batteries) and impractical for day-to-day use. Unless you're lacking in kitchen drawer space, just get a set of regular bar tending tools.

It's heavier than you'd guess, and big and bulky, but it works.

I am a bartender and thought this would be a great item to have. It is huge and gets in the way. The muddler is awkward. I wouldn't recommend this

I bought as a Christmas gift, looked good to me. Hard to rate if I have not used it.Should be able to rate later for gift.

Like the compactness but the squish you doesn't work as well as a wooden one.

I saw this review in Wine Spectator and had to have it. It is wonderful!!! I love that it is all-in-one gadget. I can get rid of the five other things in my bar!
