No regrets getting this. Great way to have good honest fun!
Absolute tack driver with Pinty red dot as optic on it. The only negative thing about the gun is that it needs a larger air tank. It eats 200 bar in three mags on my .25 Other than that, it shoulders nicely with the included folding stock. Firing this gun without the stock attached isn't an option for me. It provides tremendous stability and guarantees accuracy. The semi auto feature is awesome. Invest in a lot of pellets because you will be sending three mags worth down range in a hurry. For me, the gun had a short break in period. The first six mags had some cycling issues where the action of the gun did not function properly. I had to manipulate the charging handle to assist. This however has since worked itself out and the gun functions flawlessly.

Great concept, poor execution !
The Hatsan sortie is a radical looking pistol which tries to be a semi-auto loader. I have two examples of this air gun which exhibited the same problem, after a small number of cycles, the part which allows auto-loading FAILED ! I don't know if it was poor design or lousy manufacturing, but the upshot is that it seems these guns are unreliable. I contacted the Hatsan repair people about warranty repair, but it seems that the necessary parts are out of stock, and they don't know when they will be available. Lately, they have not been responding to my emails, so the integrity of this company is brought into question. When it works, the Sortie is a very fun to shoot and accurate pistol, but the lack of reliability makes this gun a non-starter ! DO NOT BUY THIS GUN ! The lack of forthrightness of the Hatsan people means that when you DO have a problem, you're on your own !

Absolutely love it.
I started not to buy this pcp pistol because of the reviews. However I own Hatsan air rifles and loved them so I pulled the trigger and bought it. I'm not sure why others had so many problems. Mine worked flawlessly and never jamed after 300 rounds. It cycled perfectly. Also airing it up was easy. No leaks and held air over 4 days sitting. Maybe I'm just lucky. Either way, I love it.

Pistol? LOL UPDATE(9-21-24) It leaks bad!
Well, The "Leaking", reviews are right. It leaks worse than a CO2 gun. It's also now jammed and I'm not sure how to clear it. I'm not even sure if I want to clear it. It Leaks...This thing is a Carbine bar none! That being said, I've run a few mags through it and it has functioned properly. I hate the stock. Will eventually upgrade to an AR15 folding stock. (almost the price of the gun all over again) It needs larger mags badly. I did a lot of research before I picked this up so I knew about its shortfalls. So far so good!

FUN FUN FUN
This pistol is a lot of fun to use. It fires as fast as you can pull the trigger, which isn't as fast as you might think, and it is accurate. It is also big. Really big. I wondered why they put a kind of stock on it, but once I saw the pistol I knew why it could be used with a stock.I feared the pistol would be so heavy that it would be tough to hold up and shoot. Not so. While not light, one is able to hold it at arm's length and shoot it Olympic style. Whether a person could do this for half an hour is in question. The excellent grip helps in holding the air pistol. It is somewhat loud. I don't know if a silencer could be added, but in a small backyard area the user might seriously consider it.It is easy to air up the pistol and easy to load the magazine. Be happy that the supplier put in more than one magazine because you will most likely go through pellets like a thresher through wheat. The air gun also looks good, at least to me.The sights are far below par. OK for a fire fight I suppose, but for getting the fine edge on a target 10 meters away not so much. Deadly on standard sized soda cans. Don't count on hitting bottle caps at any distance. Now for the possible deal killer. The trigger is horrible. Absolutely horrible. The weight of pull must be 8 pounds. The advertisements says the trigger is adjustable; however, I could find no adjustments and the manual doesn't show any. The air gun is mostly plastic, including the trigger and trigger guard. The air cylinder is metal and has a gauge to show the air pressure.Hatsan air guns are made in Turkey, and they sell well here in the American market according to air gun dealers I have spoken to. How good they are on repair I cannot say, but the ability to get your air gun repaired is crucial. I have shot air guns for over 20 years and I have a couple of very expensive guns that I purchased over 20 years back. One of those guns, an Anschutz, cannot be serviced because it is out of production. The other air rifle, a Walther LG300 is still serviced by the manufacturer. Good thing, because the regulator went out and I wondered if they could replace it on a rifle over 20 years old. They could and they did. Free, except for shipping.I have looked at how many Hatsan air guns are for sale on eBay and at various air gun retailers such as Pyramyd Air. They are not found in abundance, in fact, I found just a few. So, it seems the Hatsans are selling well and not being put on the after market. That fact might mean the air guns are well liked and keep operating well over time. Maybe.I returned the air gun I bought because of a leak. The dealer listed here took it back without a problem.AD2

I love it.
The mags are sent too tight, but once you adjust the center screw so the mag moves freely, I went through 60 shots as smooth as can be. This hits hard and fast and I like the constant accuracy. It came with nice sights but I'm too old for open sights, so I put a red dot/laser on it and it's a tack driver.

First PCP gun
This thing is great! There were a lot of bad reviews so I was hesitant but my expectations were exceeded. I've already put close to 1000 pellets through it and have had no trouble. Ive had zero experience with pcp so, there was a learning curve to safely charge and use. A little common sense goes a long way. It's fun to plink with. I would buy again.

Defective won't even fire once.
Zero help from Amazon since they sold it but sent us to manufacturer (Hasan). We went to Hasan, they send us to get help from Amazon. This was a gift to my husband and it is hundreds of dollars of trash and no one will help resolve our issue. Thanks for nothing.
