The replacement bags seem quite expensive.** A: There is not indication on that I see regarding the material. It feels to be some sort of synthetic or plastic based mesh. Opened the box and looked good...put it together and it fell over and tilted and everything....no instructions included I might add... but realized the error of my ways and redid the legs....do NOT thread all the way.... and was still thinking...junk. Then used it to freeze bananas...put the one gallon freezer bag over the top (make sure the container you sit it on is a bit bigger than the leg spread) and it worked great...loaded the bags with 5 sliced bananas with no give from the strainer... I have used 3 different jelly strainers. Either they were to flimsy to hold what I put in, or the bags that go with them were to small and took hours longer than they should to drain. These are great. Metal so it will hold up and the bags are just right.
