Battlestar Galactica: The Original Series: Hopeful for lasting peace following centuries of intense warfare, the Twelve Colonies gather to sign a treaty with their dreaded enemies, the Cylons. But after an act of treachery on the eve of the ceremony, the Cylons launch a devastating surprise attack, destroying the Colonies' home planets and most of their military strength. A lone flagship battlestar, the Galactica, remains to aid the surviving colonists on their epic journey for a new home to a far-off legendary planet—Earth. Galactica 1980: The Complete Series: 30 years after the events of Battlestar Galactica, the original crew finally makes the long-anticipated descent to Earth. With time running out and the Cylons closing in on their trail, Commander Adama and the Galactica must work harder than ever before to help Earth create the technology necessary for battle. Battlestar Galactica: The Remastered Collection includes over 4 hours of bonus features, including over 3 hours of deleted scenes from Battlestar Galactica: The Original Series. The collection also includes featurettes such as "Glen Larson on the Creation of Battlestar Galactica" and "Stu Phillips: Composing the Score" with an inside look at the creation of this remarkable production, and "Remembering Battlestar Galactica," a 45-minute documentary illuminating the journey and impact of this ground-breaking series. Review: Great picture quality - I have the original DVD release of this. 4:3 aspect ratio, it's like watching back in the 70s. These are a good remastering and I like that you can watch it full screen on a 16:9 TV. I hesitated to buy this because I had the DVDs already but these are a worthy upgrade and I will never watch the DVDs again. No need to get into the show details. If you're looking at these, you already know what it is. If you enjoyed the show you will want this set. Review: Tribes of Cobalt unite!? - I remember this show and liked it, but was never sure if I've seen all the episodes and being a little kid I didn't really remember the ones I did see. So it was nice to be able to find this collection and I discover a spin off I was completely unaware of. I will admit the Galactica 1980 is not as good. I don't know if casting issues or budget problems kept the original storyline from continuing, but that's the path I would've gone. This was a nice trip down memory lane I enjoyed watching. The guys were cool and the ladies were hot. What more could a boy want to watch back then. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Contributor | Dirk Benedict, Herbert Jefferson, Jr., John Colicos, Lorne Greene, Richard Hatch | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 out of 5 stars 423 Reviews | | Format | Blu-ray, NTSC, Subtitled | | Genre | Action & Adventure, Drama, Science Fiction & Fantasy | | Language | English | | Number Of Discs | 8 | ## Product Details - **Contributor:** Dirk Benedict, Herbert Jefferson, Jr., John Colicos, Lorne Greene, Richard Hatch - **Format:** Blu-ray, NTSC, Subtitled - **Genre:** Action & Adventure, Drama, Science Fiction & Fantasy - **Language:** English - **Number Of Discs:** 8 ## Images ![Battlestar Galactica: The Remastered Collection [Blu-ray] - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81Ri1XV9LQL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great picture quality *by T***. on February 28, 2026* I have the original DVD release of this. 4:3 aspect ratio, it's like watching back in the 70s. It’s fantastic and it also comes with the sub package of the 1980 Battlestar Galactica show as well. Good nostalgia and very good memories. ## Frequently Bought Together - Battlestar Galactica: The Remastered Collection [Blu-ray] - Battlestar Galactica - 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray [4K UHD] - Battlestar Galactica: The Complete Series [Blu-ray] --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.be/products/17479293-battlestar-galactica-the-remastered-collection-blu-ray](https://www.desertcart.be/products/17479293-battlestar-galactica-the-remastered-collection-blu-ray) --- *Product available on Desertcart Belgium* *Store origin: BE* *Last updated: 2026-10-08*
