Review: First MacBook Ever!! Great Experience!! - I received my MacBook Pro in Excellent condition, for $399.99 the laptop still looks and works like it's worth $2500. I ordered the 16GB Ram with the i7 processor and it works like a charm. I even updated it to the newest MacOs 26 and haven't had any issues with speed or overheating. It is worth every penny and highly recommend them, I'll be ordering another one from them shortly.

I received my MacBook Pro in Excellent condition, for $399.99 the laptop still looks and works like it's worth $2500. I ordered the 16GB Ram with the i7 processor and it works like a charm. I even updated it to the newest MacOs 26 and haven't had any issues with speed or overheating. It is worth every penny and highly recommend them, I'll be ordering another one from them shortly.

I recently purchased a refurbished 2019 16-inch MacBook Pro from Amazon Renewed, specifically opting for the "Excellent Condition" tier. While the laptop is functional for the most part, the physical and technical reality of the device does not live up to Amazon's definition of "Excellent." The Good: Protection and Functionality * Protective Skin: On a positive note, the laptop arrived with a nice protective skin/sticker applied to the exterior, which was a welcome touch to prevent minor scratches. * Usability: With 3 out of 4 USB-C ports working, the laptop is technically usable for my daily tasks. The Bad: Defying the "Excellent" Standard According to Amazon Renewed guidelines, an "Excellent" grade means the product should have no visible cosmetic imperfections from 12 inches away and must be fully functional. My unit, however, has two major flaws: 1. Physical Damage: There is a very noticeable, distinct dent on one of the corners, clearly caused by a hard drop or impact. This goes well beyond acceptable refurbished cosmetic wear for the highest tier. 2. Defective USB-C Port: Out of the four USB-C ports, one is completely dead. It does not accept a charge, nor does it recognize data transfer. While I can get by with the remaining three ports, paying a premium for an "Excellent" condition device means expecting 100% functionality. The Uncertain: Third-Party Charger The MacBook did not come with an official Apple charger, but rather a third-party compatible adapter. While it works for now, I do have minor concerns about its long-term reliability and safety compared to OEM Apple silicon and power management. Next Steps & Final Verdict Since I am still within the 30-day return window, I am not keeping quiet about this. I plan to take this MacBook to an official Apple Store this week to run a professional diagnostic. I need to ensure that the dead USB-C port isn't a symptom of a deeper, underlying issue with the logic board, which could fail entirely down the road. Conclusion: If you are buying from Amazon Renewed, be prepared to inspect your device thoroughly. "Excellent" might just mean "Acceptable with a hidden defect" depending on the seller. If Apple finds a logic board issue, this is going straight back to Amazon for a refund.
